Busanjin curry restaurant open 2pm with no break time: Sarugak20
In short
Sarugak20 is a Japanese-style curry restaurant in a basement along a quiet hill alley near Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station in Busanjin, Busan, and the second branch of the once-famous Jeonpo curry spot Moru Sikdang. Visiting solo on a weekend at 2pm, the writer ordered brisket cream curry with added scrambled egg and a side of sweet potato cheese croquette, and the food came out fast with no break time in between. With a sunny window seat and partitioned floor seating, the restaurant works equally well for solo dining and private meals.

Sarugak20, a Jeonpo curry favorite, sits in a quiet hillside alley near Jeonpo Station. It's in a basement across from the entrance of the Jeonpo Community Service Center.

Remember Moru Sikdang, the restaurant famous for Jeonpo curry? Sarugak20 is Moru Sikdang's second branch!

A basement entrance and interior that feel like a lifestyle shop
Walk down the stairs and you'll find Sarugak20. Sunlight pours in, making it feel pleasant. And at the entrance, a faint incense scent greets you as you walk in — puts you in a good mood.

The interior is decorated with all sorts of aesthetic little props.

Isn't this entrance basically a lifestyle shop? 👍🏻💛

I almost asked where that white blouse was from — that's exactly my style, and this place is too.

There's even a photo zone set up. If there's a mirror, that's the photo zone, right.

They also have cute rings and key rings. Lots of unique, stylish key rings caught my eye.

Bracelets, vegetable-shaped key rings — cute little items on display.

From solo window seats to partitioned floor seating
Sarugak20, a Jeonpo curry restaurant, is spacious and tidy. If there's a bigger group, there's a 6-person table that can comfortably seat up to six.

Whether it's a friend hangout, a date for two, or eating solo, the sunny window seat works great.

There's also partitioned floor seating, so if you want a more private meal, I'd recommend this spot.

A solo lunch at 2pm on a weekend: brisket cream curry
Brisket cream curry ₩11,000 Added scrambled egg ₩1,500 Sweet potato cheese croquette (2pc) ₩3,500
I visited alone around 2pm on a weekend, and the owner made the food quickly. Isn't Japanese-style curry just so good-looking!!

Sarugak20's signature brisket cream curry had smooth cream curry balanced nicely against savory brisket. There's a lot of rice too — even under the meat, it's all rice! It's a big portion haha.
The long-awaited first bite! Now I get why Sarugak20 is named as a top Jeonpo curry spot, haha.

Piling scrambled egg with brisket on top is a great combo plus great combo. I'd recommend it as a top spot for Jeonpo Japanese curry.

On the side: sweet potato cheese croquette
Eating just curry would feel like missing out, so I ordered the sweet potato cheese croquette as a side. Underneath it there's cabbage drizzled with yuzu dressing, giving it a refreshing bite.

You know croquettes taste best fresh out, right? I took a bite the moment it arrived. Inside the crispy coating was packed with sweet potato mousse!

Even the mozzarella cheese stretching out was so good — I'd definitely recommend adding the sweet potato cheese croquette.
To sum up
- A Jeonpo lunch spot with no break time
- Sarugak20, a curry favorite in Jeonpo, Busan
- A Jeonpo-dong restaurant that does curry really well
- A solo-dining-friendly spot near Seomyeon and Jeonpo
- The owner is kind and the food comes out fast
