In short
The Mignon Seoul is a Western restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station, with three floors including a rooftop and brunch and pasta served at any hour. Over dinner with a friend, the writer sat in the reserved second-floor seating and ordered truffle white ragu pasta, popover pancake and lychee omija ade, all of which arrived within 20 minutes. Most surrounding tables were blind dates or engagement-party gatherings, so The Mignon Seoul is an easy pick when the mood matters.

I've been to Gangnam Station so many times, but somehow I never really eat Western food around here...? So I came for a nice dinner with a friend after a while. It's been ages since I had Western food with a friend too, haha.

It's a Western restaurant near Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon stations. They have both brunch and dinner menus, so it looked like a good spot to eat no matter what time you show up! Just look for the white and red walls. The exterior already looks upscale and date-worthy — if you're searching for a Gangnam restaurant or a Gangnam Western food spot, this is The Mignon Seoul~~
Walk-in waiting is possible, but I'd recommend booking ahead through Catch Table or Naver Reservation! Especially in the evening, almost every table was reserved. And it seemed like reservations were mostly assigned to the second floor — the second floor is way~~ nicer in mood and more comfortable, so keep that in mind.
Inside The Mignon Seoul: first floor, second floor and rooftop
The Mignon Seoul is a three-story restaurant: 1st floor, 2nd floor, and a rooftop! Since we had a reservation, we were seated on the 2nd floor. Book ahead if you can~

This is the 1st floor. It has an open kitchen and table seating.

As you climb the pretty staircase, there are men's and women's restrooms on each half-floor. Women's on the 1.5th floor, men's on the 2.5th floor.

This is the rooftop — probably because it was a bit hot, no one was using it. Once it gets cooler, I might give it a try (?)

The basic table setting~~ the water glass and water bottle were so pretty. The utensil rest was really convenient too. There's a separate knife holder in the middle, which made things easy to use 👍🏻

What's on the menu at The Mignon Seoul?
The Mignon Seoul's menu is made up of set menus, brunch, pasta, gnocchi, and a wide range of alcohol and drinks.

Turns out the brunch and pasta are the famous items here. It was nice being able to order anything regardless of the time of day. They also have a huge range of wine and other alcohol, so I'd recommend it if you're into casual drinks or drinking with a bit of atmosphere 👍🏻
How do the popover pancake and truffle white ragu pasta taste?
The food arrived~~ my friend and I ordered just the right amount for two (❁´▽`❁) Popover pancake, truffle white ragu pasta, and lychee omija ade!

The dishes generally came out within 20 minutes. The plating was pretty too, felt made with care?? Especially the brunch dishes — the visuals were insane 🤤💗✨
The lychee omija ade has what looks like lychee syrup, or maybe jelly, settled at the bottom, so you need to mix it well before drinking. The combination of the two was really great!! The tartness of omija (schisandra berry) and the sweetness of the lychee — very nice ✨

I picked the truffle white ragu pasta since they said it's the best menu item! At first it's a little on the salty side, but the more you eat it the more savory and good it gets. The truffle aroma wafts through nicely and there's a ton of minced meat, so you get a really rich flavor, haha.

The popover pancake comes with banana, plum, cherry tomatoes, nuts, jambon (ham), arugula, and cheese on top of the pancake. So many toppings, so much fun to eat! The portion was surprisingly generous too. And even though it's a brunch item, you can order it in the evening as well ✨

Pickles aren't served by default. If you ask, they'll bring you some — keep that in mind 🌱

Is The Mignon Seoul good for a blind date or an engagement gathering?
We ate so well, haha. The staff were super kind too, and most of the tables around us were on blind dates or engagement-party gatherings 😳 If you're looking for a place for a blind date or engagement gathering, I recommend The Mignon Seoul near Gangnam Station!! Another happy meal completed today.
