I took care of the kids so hard during their school vacation that at some point I realized my whole body had completely stiffened up haha. Normally I'd exercise to loosen up, but during the break I couldn't even get to the gym properly, and between constantly moving on the kids' schedule, my shoulders, back, and lower back were all incredibly stiff.
At times like this, I figured a proper massage would do more good than exercise, so I went to Eoseuni Spa Massage Gangnam Main Branch for some long-overdue healing time of my own. If you're looking for a Gangnam massage or Apgujeong massage, this place is worth keeping an eye on.
A spa I only just discovered after 13 years living near Sinsa Station
Sinsa Station is a slightly special neighborhood for me. I lived near Garosu-gil, basically right by Sinsa Station, for about 13 years. So walking around this area brings back memories of streets I used to frequent — it's a neighborhood full of memories for me. And yet, I only just found out this time that there was such a good spa here.

From outside you can see the EARTHNESS SPA sign, so it wasn't hard to find, and once I stepped inside, the atmosphere was completely different from what I expected from the outside.
The overall feel is warm and calm, so from the moment I walked in I thought, okay, I'm really going to rest properly today.

Before the treatment, warm tea and cookies
As soon as I arrived, they prepared warm tea and some simple cookies for me. These little touches actually matter a lot to me. Before coming in for the massage I'd been rushing around outside, juggling this and that, but sitting down with a warm cup of tea, I could feel the tension starting to melt away bit by bit.
There were even celebrity autographs on the wall 😀 Anyway, even before the actual body treatment started, they clearly cared about making me feel relaxed, and I liked that.

The bed was clean and the treatment room comfortable — overall it felt like I was getting genuinely healed.

I always get a little excited and happy right before a massage haha, like all the fatigue is already melting away.

Aroma body care back treatment — the difference is in the hands
The treatment I received that day was the aroma body care, done face-down for a back treatment. Honestly, while facilities and atmosphere matter for a massage, I think what matters most in the end is the therapist's skill. No matter how pretty a place is, if the massage itself isn't satisfying, you won't want to come back. But here, right from the start of the treatment, I could immediately tell — ah, this therapist really knows what they're doing.
You know how we say some people have 'skilled hands' when it comes to massage? That's exactly the feeling. There's a real difference between just pressing hard with force and actually releasing the stiff parts of your body properly, and this felt like the real, proper body care I'd been wanting for a long time.
Especially since I'd been so stiff all over from childcare during the school break with no chance to exercise, I really felt like coming for this massage was the right call. During the treatment I just wanted to properly rest, so I didn't take any photos of the massage itself.
Instead, putting my phone down and receiving the aroma body care in a quiet space made that time feel like it was entirely mine. Normally I'm looking after the kids, doing housework, and constantly thinking about the next thing I need to do, but on this day, lying there with my mind completely blank while getting the treatment — this, I thought, is real healing haha.
The atmosphere of the treatment room
I liked the treatment space too. The lighting was soft and the mood calm overall, and the bed and space were kept neat and tidy. Time flew by so fast it was almost a shame haha. It's great to come alone for body care, but seeing the room with beds placed side by side, I immediately thought I should bring my husband along next time.
Next time, an Apgujeong massage date
These days, a date doesn't have to just mean eating a meal and going to a café. Getting a massage together and then eating something delicious nearby might actually be a much more proper healing date. So next time, I'm really going to bring my husband along and try an Apgujeong massage date haha. Once you have kids, it's not easy to carve out separate time as a couple, but I think it's nice to occasionally take time together like this to loosen up and rest.
Especially for people like me who used to exercise regularly but couldn't for a while and now feel stiff, or anyone whose whole body feels heavy from childcare or work, getting a proper body treatment once in a while and resting is a really good idea.
It's not just a spa that looks pretty — the massage itself, which matters most, was genuinely satisfying.
What stuck with me most was really the therapist's skilled hands. I lived near Sinsa Station and Garosu-gil for so long, and I couldn't believe I only found out about this place now. If you're looking into a Gangnam massage or Apgujeong massage, or want to properly unwind with an aroma body treatment near Sinsa Station, this one's worth considering.
After the massage, another cup of tea.

Next time, I want to go back not alone but on a massage date with my husband. :)
