When I was craving conveyor-belt sushi in Seosan
I suddenly had such a craving for conveyor-belt sushi this time 🍣🥹 The best thing about it is being able to pick up whichever sushi you want and eat it right away, plus there are so many different kinds to try, right? Haha. So this time, I headed to Mikado Sushi Chungnam Seosan Branch in Seosan, Chungnam!
No matter what sushi you choose here, every plate is ₩2,200, so I could pick whatever I wanted without worrying about the price 👏 There were seriously so many types of sushi that, after one plate and then another, the plates were suddenly piled up like a mountain 🤣🍣 There were more raw-fish sushi options than I expected, and the sushi quality was decent too, so we really ate until we were full. How many plates did we eat? I'll reveal it at the end, haha.

Every plate is ₩2,200—what about parking and seating?
Mikado Sushi is a chain, and there is a branch in Seosan, Chungnam too 😊 Best of all, every plate here costs ₩2,200, so it was convenient not having to check a separate price for every menu item. Since you can pick the sushi you want without feeling pressured, it seemed perfect for a day when you want to try lots of different kinds. There was also a spacious parking lot, so I could visit comfortably by car without stressing about parking 🚗
There was a separate waiting area in front of the restaurant too. I heard it gets so busy around mealtimes on weekends that there can be a wait 😳 There were quite a few customers when we visited as well, and I think lots of people come because the prices are affordable and the sushi selection is varied. If you're visiting on a weekend, it might be nice to avoid peak mealtimes, haha.
The inside of the restaurant was neat and tidy overall 😊 The seating was divided into bar tables and regular tables, but I still think bar seats are the most convenient at a conveyor-belt sushi place 🍣 The rail is right in front of you, so you can quickly grab the sushi you want as it passes by, haha.

Can you order sushi that isn't on the rail?
There were really so many menu options 😍 And the best part was that every sushi plate was ₩2,200, so we could try this and that without worrying about the price. There were all kinds, from raw-fish sushi and gunkan sushi to rolls and egg sushi, so you can choose according to your taste. If the sushi you want isn't on the rail, you can order it separately, and they make it right away and bring it out quickly 👍

Warm jang-guk (clear soup) was provided too, and they brought a thermos of it to every table 😊 It was convenient because we could pour ourselves a bowl whenever we wanted instead of continually asking the staff for more. The warm soup was tasty 🍵

With the soup ready, we set out the wasabi and soy sauce and were finally ready to eat in earnest! 🍣🥢 Everything we needed was set up on the table—battle preparations complete!! How many plates could we manage today? 🤣

From abalone gamtae to eel and beef sashimi
Sushi kept circling around on the conveyor belt 🍣✨ Whenever the sushi we wanted came by, we just picked it up one at a time, and they replenished the rail with sushi nonstop. There was so much variety, and every piece looked appetizing, so I kept looking at every sushi plate that passed by, haha. The sushi looked to be in decent condition overall.
The first thing we tried was abalone gamtae sushi 💚 The abalone was chewier than I expected, and it went well with the fragrant ocean aroma of gamtae (seaweed). It was such a tasty start that I was in a good mood, haha.

Next, we picked sea eel sushi 🐟 The eel was really big and long, with the flesh stretched well over the rice 😳 I was surprised that the eel quality was better than expected. It was savory and sweet, the sauce had soaked in nicely, and the flesh was tender.
I also tried beef sashimi sushi, which I love 🥩💕 The beef sashimi was soft and nutty, and it went better with the rice than I expected. The more I chewed, the more its clean, subtly nutty flavor came through, so it was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.

You can't leave out salmon sushi either, right? 🐟🧡 The salmon was soft and moist, and it felt like it gently melted in my mouth. I think salmon lovers would enjoy it as an easy, reliably tasty choice.

This was ankimo gamtae sushi 💚 I'd never seen it before, so I chose it out of curiosity. Ankimo is monkfish liver, and when I tried it, it had a rich, soft flavor a little like tuna mayo. The texture was very smooth too, so it felt like it melted away in my mouth. With the aroma of gamtae added in, the nutty flavor came through even more beautifully 🥰
For sushi that wasn't on the rail, Post-it notes were placed right in front of the conveyor belt. You just write down the menu item you want and your table number, then hand it to a staff member, and they make it right away 📝 It was convenient because there was no need to hunt down a staff member and explain your order, and the sushi we ordered came out faster than expected.

We also tried so many other things: salmon sushi, eel sushi, egg mayo sushi, salmon roe sushi, spicy marinated shrimp sushi, sea urchin roe gamtae sushi, ricotta cheese salmon sushi, onion salmon rolls, swordfish belly sushi, and scallop sushi 🍣💕 There was an amazing amount of variety. There were quite a few kinds of raw-fish sushi too, which I loved as someone who enjoys it. As we had one plate and then chose another, plates gradually started piling up on the table before we knew it 🤣

Twenty-four plates, plus cake and tonkotsu ramen
After filling up on sushi, we made sure to have sweet cake for dessert at the end 🍰💕 You know how sweet things somehow still fit even when you're full, right?

To finish, we ordered tonkotsu ramen too, since it was also ₩2,200 🍜 Having noodles with warm broth made us feel even more satisfied. The tonkotsu ramen broth was warm and had a deep flavor, so it was tasty.

After eating and eating and eating some more, we had eaten a whopping 24 plates 🤣🍣 We honestly weren't planning to eat that much, but as we kept choosing one plate at a time, it somehow became 24 plates, haha. What's the most plates you can manage at a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant? 🥹 There must be people who can eat more than us, right? Haha.
I'd gone because I was craving conveyor-belt sushi for the first time in a while, and there was lots of variety with a flat price of ₩2,200 per plate, so we could try all sorts of things with peace of mind 🍣💕 Especially because we picked each sushi one by one, I completely lost track of time. If you're looking for sushi in Seosan on a day when you want to try lots of varieties without spending too much, Mikado Sushi Chungnam Seosan Branch could be worth stopping by 😊 We finished at 24 plates, and now I'm curious how many plates we'll manage next time, haha.
