Our order came out in about 10 minutes. Everything's made fresh to order, so there can be a short wait. You could also pre-order via Naver and just pick it up!

If it's your first visit, I'd say start with the signature Town Sandwich. Even at a glance, the baguette was stuffed generously with fillings, and it looked delicious. The plain flavor of the baguette worked well with the fillings, so it wasn't as heavy as I expected, and it felt like they didn't skimp on ingredients — one sandwich alone was filling. The ham especially was piled on.

Overall the flavors balanced really well, which I liked. So if you're visiting Town Sandwich for the first time and can't decide what to order, I think this is the easiest pick. It'd work well as a simple brunch with coffee or a drink, and it was plenty for a full lunch too. The lettuce and ham were seriously piled high!

What does the basil jambon-beurre taste like?

Personally, this was the one I'd been looking forward to — the basil jambon-beurre! With the first bite, the fragrant basil flavor came through and paired really well with the baguette. The bread here is genuinely chewy, nutty, and delicious!

The basil aroma blended naturally with the other ingredients, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. Most of all, the combination of the baguette's plain flavor and the basil aroma was exactly my type. The bright bitterness of the rocket added its own charm too.

If the Town Sandwich feels like the basic signature version with a variety of fillings, the basil jambon-beurre has a more fragrant, refreshing charm. Ordering two and sharing with my sister was just right. If you can't decide between the two, ordering both like this on your first visit might be the way to go!

There are so many restaurants and cafés in Jamsil, but it can still be hard to find something that's filling without being too heavy. Unlike a typical convenience store sandwich or one made with sliced bread, Town Sandwich uses baguette, which gave it a distinct texture, and the fillings were generous enough that it felt like a proper meal. Personally, since I like basil, the basil jambon-beurre was my favorite. If it's your first visit, I'd recommend also trying the signature Town Sandwich alongside it.
