Guro, Seoul bar for kimchi udon and old-school bingsu: Eulji Pocha

A pocha that's great for after work in Guro Digital Complex

Guro Digital Complex is packed with office workers, right~~ So naturally there are tons of bars that are great for an after-work drink. The one I went to this time is Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch (을지포차 구로디지털점).

I didn't manage to get a photo of the outside, but the weather has cooled off lately, so they had all the doors wide open. Not quite outdoor seating, but semi-outdoor? hahahaha It gave the place a nice vibe.

Inside, the interior is done up in all sorts of different concepts, so it's fun just looking around.

Kimchi udon and old-school bingsu for round two

Done looking around the place, time to order something tasty, right?? What I ordered: kimchi udon and old-school bingsu (shaved ice dessert)!! My boyfriend and I had already had dinner and came here for round two, so we needed something cold and something with broth haha

The kimchi udon was nice and spicy with big chunks of fish cake in it, and the bingsu was sweet, exactly the nostalgic bingsu I ate as a kid!! Okay, I'll admit it, this is a proper Gudi (Guro Digital) food spot..

If the side dishes are this good, I'm dying to know how good the mains are ㅠㅠ Next time I want to come on an empty stomach and try loads of the other dishes ><

Claw machines with our coins

When you order drinks and food, they give you coins like this!!! And with those coins there's all kinds of stuff to do: claw machines, a photo booth, making cotton candy or dalgona (honeycomb candy)!! Having things like this to play with made it so much fun for me.

We debated what to spend the coins on, and our choice was the claw machine!!! We seriously did nothing else and just played the claw machine over and over… So did we win anything?? I'll tell you the result at the end~!!! hahahahaha

I wanted to try the cotton candy and the dalgona too, but we were so hooked on the dopamine that we only did the claw machine… Next time I'm definitely doing the dalgona haha

Request DJ and roulette event vibes

Another plus at Eulji Pocha!! They take song requests. You know how when you're drinking there's always a song you suddenly want to hear? Someone, not sure if it was the owner or a staff member, was DJing and playing whatever people asked for.

When a BIGBANG song came on, the other customers all started singing along.. the atmosphere was absolutely wild.

We always drink soft drinks alongside our alcohol, and there was a roulette event? thing, so we gave it a go and won a Coke!! There are so many events that I think it'd be even more, more, MORE fun if you came with a big group of friends.

Lots of friend groups come here, but I also saw about 2 tables of larger parties. The place is spacious, so even a big group should fit in fine.

A game machine that made the night even better

We were wondering what else to do while drinking when my boyfriend found this game machine somewhere?? You flick it with your finger like a forehead flick and the harder you hit, the higher your score. We asked the owner if we could borrow it and they happily let us, so we played drinking games with it and honestly had the most fun I've had in ages ㅠㅠ All the stress just melted away!!

Claw machine result: 3 plushies!

Now for the claw machine result 😙 We built up our coins and played with about 15 of them!! And the result~~ thankfully we got 3. The plushies are pretty cute, aren't they??

Seriously, peak dopamine. If we'd left without winning anything, I swear we would've gone straight to a claw machine arcade~~

There are flyers like this posted on the door too, and I think people looking to meet someone would have a really fun time here as well!! And the staff are genuinely kind. Possibly the friendliest of any bar I've ever been to?? I'm definitely coming back here with my friends next time.
