Seogwipo café with Udo peanut latte and easy parking: Forest Jeongbang

The day after moving our stay to the Seogwipo side, our first stop of the morning was Jeongbang Waterfall! The weather was great, the breeze was cool, and I even saw a pretty rainbow next to the falls, so I was in a really good mood.

How close is Forest Jeongbang to Jeongbang Waterfall?

On the way out, I wanted a coffee while looking at the sea, so I stopped by the closest café to Jeongbang Waterfall.

A minute by car? Two minutes? It's literally right next to the Jeongbang Waterfall parking lot as soon as you pull out.

Udo peanut latte and Vellona rice chocolate cake

I usually get an iced Americano wherever I go, but since the Forest Jeongbang signature menu items are the Udo peanut latte and the Jeongbang Waterfall latte, I ordered the Udo peanut latte, my husband got an iced Americano, and we got a Vellona rice chocolate cake for our kid.

There were plenty of drinks kids would like too — choco latte, strawberry latte, Hallabong juice, lemonade, blueberry yogurt smoothie, and more. There were also set menus like sandwich+Americano and ice cream croffle+Americano, so it seemed like a good spot for a simple meal too.

Seopseom island sea views from the 2nd-floor windows

We ordered on the 1st floor, and since the view is obviously better upstairs, we headed straight to the 2nd floor. Forest Jeongbang is an ocean-view café in Seogwipo, Jeju. You can't see Jeongbang Waterfall directly, but you can see the sea where Seopseom island — where the falls flow toward — sits.

The entire 2nd floor is floor-to-ceiling windows, so the moment you walk in, your view opens right up. The sea and the forest blend together in one view, and you can see the blue sky and lush greenery all at once — I really got to feel that classic Jeju scenery.

Just gazing at the view outside the window was healing in itself, no need to do anything else.

Living up to its reputation as a top café near Jeongbang Waterfall, the coffee was delicious too. The beans had a nutty, smooth flavor, and the Udo peanut latte had that deep peanut nuttiness with just a hint of sweetness that felt right for a signature menu item.

The Vellona chocolate rice cake was the real deal too. It's gluten-free, so I think adults would enjoy it as well.

Wide seating and baby chairs for visits with kids

There's a baby chair ready too, so there's no inconvenience even if you visit with a young baby. And I liked that the gap between seats here is wide. The tables are spaced comfortably apart, so even visiting with kids doesn't feel cramped — we could relax comfortably.

September in Jeju turned out to be a time when you can meet two seasons at once, summer and fall — the lushness of summer in the green forest, and the crispness of fall in the high, clear sky.

It was my first time in Jeju in September and it was so pretty!

The staircase and the large parking lot

The lighting on the 2nd floor staircase is stylish too. This is a well-loved café near Jeongbang Waterfall, decorated charmingly in every corner, and the property around the building is spacious yet so well maintained and clean.

There's a Pokémon plushie photo zone on one side of the 1st floor — there's no way kids would walk past that haha.

No need to worry about parking at this Jeongbang Waterfall café either. It's an ocean-view café in Seogwipo, but it would be inconvenient without parking anyway. I always search for parking before heading to a café, and this place is per-fect on that front too!

If you visit Jeongbang Waterfall and want to rest nearby while looking at the sea, I recommend Forest Jeongbang.
