Paju pork rib restaurant, steamed egg and cold noodles: Jeongwon Galbi
In short
Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch is a pork rib (dwaeji galbi) restaurant in Paju, Gyeonggi, with a large parking lot and roomy seating. On a day with no appetite after moving house, the writer had 2 portions of Jeongwon pork ribs at ₩16,900 each, a steamed egg and a ₩5,000 bibim naengmyeon for dessert, and the sweet, tender ribs and clean side dishes brought the appetite back. With rice and cold noodles to follow, 2 portions of ribs was just right.

I'm usually someone who always has an appetite, but lately, maybe because moving house has made every day so hectic, housework feels like a chore, cooking feels like even more of one, and my appetite has been fading too *sob*

Losing my appetite isn't something that happens easily to me lol So on the weekend I went to Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch (정원갈비 파주본점) to get it going again. I think this is already my third, fourth? visit~~
Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch parking and hours
Opening hours are 11:30–22:00 every day.

The parking lot is spacious. There's a big café right next door too, so a meal followed by a café stop makes a really nice course.

The tables inside are roomy too, and there are lots of seats with plenty of space, which I love!

Group gatherings are no problem, and there's nothing to worry about if you come with kids. Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch is thoughtful enough to have high chairs ready, too.
From the side dishes to the pork ribs
The side dishes come out so nicely. I love them. Before the meat arrives, the basic banchan (side dishes) soothe your appetite first haha The salad and the japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) are both so good~

Yangnyeom gejang (raw crab marinated in spicy sauce) comes out too. My husband loves yangnyeom gejang, so I gave it all to him lol Lots of you love gejang, right? Getting gejang as a side dish is truly the best.

What we always order when we come: Jeongwon pork ribs (dwaeji galbi), 250g for ₩16,900. The first time we ordered 3 portions, which is great if you're only eating meat, but after rice and naengmyeon (cold noodles) I was about to burst. So to leave room for rice and naengmyeon, we ordered 2 portions. It was just right. Jeongwon pork ribs come out nicely marinated — looks delicious, doesn't it?

They put it all straight onto the grill. Since it's marinated, you have to keep an eye on it, otherwise it burns~~~ Grilling the meat is my husband's specialty, so I leave it all to him and get busy eating haha

The salad bar is neat and well kept too. It even has lids on, so it's very hygienic. The vegetables were all fresh and good!

Grilling up nicely. Sweet, tender pork ribs — this is the taste we come to Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch for :)

Steamed egg that was great to eat with our kid
There's one thing we never skip at Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch: the silky-soft gyeran-jjim (steamed egg). The portion is generous. They have a kids' steamed egg, so I think we order it every time for our daughter, a steamed egg fanatic. She says steamed egg is best when you eat it at a barbecue restaurant.
Mixed into rice, eaten on its own too haha We finished all of this without leaving a bite hahaha No wonder we were full haha It's soft and tastes great! If you come with kids, definitely order one.

Look at that glossy shine. It's tender with no gamey smell, and I think it's even better grilled over charcoal. Pork ribs are best eaten at Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch, it seems.

Wow... I took this photo so well hahaha It's really sweet. A taste kids will really love. Not just kids — grown-ups too hahaha I had hardly any appetite until just now, but looking at this photo I want a bowl of rice with pork ribs on top.

Finishing with bibim naengmyeon for dessert
We left room for naengmyeon, of course. The dessert bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) is just the right amount after meat. And the price is great too, ₩5,000. Sweet and tangy bibim sauce, a piece of egg, cucumber and pickled radish wraps — it really gets your appetite going on its own.

The finish was totally perfect. When you really have no appetite, come to Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch and it comes right back haha Good-quality meat, great taste, and side dishes that come out so neat and clean — Jeongwon Galbi. That's why we can't help coming back again and again!!!!

If you write a receipt review, they give you bead ice cream. My daughter loved it and ate it right up hahaha If you want pork ribs in Paju, Jeongwon Galbi Paju Main Branch is totally worth it.
