Jamsil jazz bar with 6pm early dinner before the 8pm set: Allegro

I heard a new jazz bar opened in Jamsil, so I went to check it out! I was so satisfied I almost wanted to keep it to myself, but let me introduce it in detail below. This place is genuinely the real deal…🌟

Allegro Jazz Bar

Allegro's location, hours and parking in Songpa

Allegro is located on the 3rd floor of 57-1 Olympic-ro 32-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It's open 12:00–23:00 with a break time from 15:00–18:00, closed on Tuesdays. For parking, you can use the True Parking Songpa Yonsei Building lot (paid).

The storefront

Heading to the jazz bar with a cool breeze. It's about a 4-minute walk from Songparu Station!

It's on the 3rd floor. I mindlessly took the stairs but... turns out there's an elevator•••!! You all should definitely take the elevator up.

Terrace seat or hall seat at Allegro — which one to book?

Allegro also has terrace seating. But you can't see the show from there!! If you're just there for a meal, the terrace works fine. If you want to watch the performance, make sure to book a hall seat📝📝

The interior

Since we wanted to eat before the 8pm show started, we went for the 6pm slot. Seats are first come, first served, so get there early and claim your spot!

The middle section has chairs arranged facing forward so you can see the show well. There are also facing seats on the sides, so no worries if you'd prefer that!

The restrooms are also very clean. This would be a great spot for a date or a first meeting.

We ordered the sous-vide pork neck steak ₩33,000, mushroom cream gnocchi ₩24,000, burrata salad ₩25,000, and the two-person live charge ₩20,000. The jazz viewing fee (live charge) is ₩10,000 on weekdays and ₩15,000 on weekends, just so you know!!

The space is so pretty that anything you photograph turns out nice. Who knew a water glass could look this radiant haha

Bread and salad came out first

Burrata salad ₩25,000. It was burrata cheese paired with seasonal fruit, cherry tomatoes, white balsamic, and basil vinaigrette. Splitting open the burrata and eating it with the bread made it even better. The savory richness of the cheese and the tart freshness of the seasonal fruit went so well together. I really hope you order this one too haha.

So colorful it's a treat for the eyes too!

Next up, the signature pasta menu item — the gnocchi

Mushroom cream gnocchi ₩24,000. The thick, savory cream sauce combined with the mushroom aroma gave it a really deep flavor. Since it's cream-based, eating just this alone could feel a bit heavy, so pairing it with the burrata salad balanced things out well. If you want a filling meal, I recommend the gnocchi!

I didn't expect much since it's a jazz bar, but it's better than most Italian restaurants

Next dish, drumroll please~~~

Sous-vide pork neck steak ₩33,000. Even though it's pork neck, cooking it sous-vide meant it wasn't dry or chewy at all — it was really tender. I couldn't believe it was neck meat, seriously!!! And as shown in the photo, it was cut extra thick, so I loved how much meat filled my mouth with each bite. The sauce that came with it was called peppercorn sauce, and it was so good I wanted to know the recipe haha. You could really taste the pepper, and it cut through the richness of the fries and meat well.

We scraped up every last bit of the sauce. And the Lotte Tower view was truly amazing•••🤍

What the 8pm live jazz show at Allegro was like

After finishing the meal and chatting with my friend, showtime arrived already! On the day I visited, there was a live performance by the Lee Ji-yeon Quartet. You can check show info on Allegro's pinned Instagram post.

Ah, I couldn't help myself. Immediately ordered two more drinks

Was that a double bass? I was blown away by the player's dazzling hand movements. Time really flew by…!! I was so satisfied that I'm planning to come back again for another show.
