Cheongdam-dong restaurant uni pasta, kaimak bingsu: People the Terrace

I wanted a relaxed dinner in a good-looking space for once, so I went to People the Terrace, a restaurant in Cheongdam-dong known as one of the go-to spots in the area 💗

People the Terrace is at 13 Dosan-daero 81-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and it's open from 18:00 in the evening until 2:00 in the morning. Last order is 01:00, and it's closed every Monday.

There are so many beautiful restaurants in Cheongdam, but People the Terrace feels like a European mansion right from the entrance, so I was already full of anticipation before even walking in haha

People the Terrace is within walking distance of Apgujeong Rodeo Station, and if you're driving, there's valet parking in front of the restaurant — I'd recommend calling ahead to confirm before you go!

Floor-by-floor spaces for a Cheongdam-dong birthday party or date

Walking into People the Terrace, the first things that catch your eye are the high ceilings, the dramatic lighting, and the plant-filled decor. The place turned out to be much bigger than I expected, with plenty of space between tables so the meal never felt crowded.

There's even a fountain inside, plus a space decorated specifically for birthday parties — perfect for playing princess for a day on a special occasion 💗

People the Terrace is laid out differently floor by floor: a private room on B1, dining on the 1st floor, a party room on the 2nd floor, and a penthouse with a rooftop lounge on the 3rd floor. It's fun picking whichever mood you're after haha. I booked the terrace for this visit.

(My friend and I were running about 15 minutes late because of traffic on the way over by taxi, and when I told the staff, they were so kind and told us to take our time — I was touched times a hundred.)

What we ordered at People the Terrace, with prices

We ordered the uni pasta, beef brisket kimchi fried rice, and basil scallops. After the meal, we also tried the sweet kaimak bingsu (shaved milk ice dessert).

Basil scallops 3pcs, 24,000 won

First out was the basil scallops — gently cooked scallops topped with cheese and sauce. They're plated right in the shell, with the cheese browned golden on top, so it looked gorgeous before I even took a bite. The plump, tender scallops went really well with the cheese and basil, but by the time we finished taking photos and got to eating, it had cooled a bit — when I tried to pull off a piece of cheese, some of the shell crumbled off with it, which made it a little awkward to eat. Definitely eat this one hot and fresh! 🩷

Uni pasta, 39,000 won

The dish I was most looking forward to was the uni pasta. I remembered loving it on a visit a long time ago, so I ordered it again — and it was a total success once more 🩷 If you like creamy pasta and uni, this is the first thing I'd recommend.

Beef brisket kimchi fried rice, 23,000 won

The beef brisket kimchi fried rice was stir-fried with aged kimchi and beef brisket, topped with a fried egg and sausage. After the creamy pasta started to feel a bit heavy, one bite of the spicy fried rice hit the spot perfectly — the combination was really great 💖👍 Mixing in the crunchy topping on top added even more texture, and the portion was more generous than I expected — I was properly full!!

Kaimak bingsu, 38,000 won

The last thing we had was the kaimak bingsu — finely shaved milk ice topped with pismanie (Turkish cotton candy-style floss) and honeycomb. The pismanie on top was light as cotton candy and melted away in the mouth, which made for a fun texture too. It was the perfect way to finish off the meal with something a bit special ✨💖

Is People the Terrace worth it, and for which occasions?

What impressed me most about People the Terrace was that it's less about just eating and leaving, and more about enjoying a beautiful space and atmosphere together. Between the spacious dining area, private room, party room, terrace, and rooftop, it's great not just for dates but also for Cheongdam-dong birthday parties or group gatherings — and since it stays open late, it's also a great spot to linger over wine or cocktails after dinner 👍
