In short

Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is a handmade hamburg steak (hambak) restaurant on the 2nd floor of Orange-dong at Avenue France in Baegot New Town, Siheung. On a drive out to Daebudo, two adults ordered the hamburg steak omurice at 15,000 won, garlic cream hambak at 12,000 won and Toowoomba pasta at 11,500 won, and the plates were so big they were almost too much to finish, with the complimentary tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) refillable once. Baby chairs and 2 hours of parking support make Jeongssi Hambak an easy stop with a baby in tow.

We stopped here on a family trip to Daebudo — a famous restaurant nearby! It's Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch, in Jeongwang-dong, Baegot New Town, Siheung. Wow... when we went at lunch it was basically full. And honestly, no wonder — it's SO good...!!!!

We scraped our plates clean at this incredibly tasty restaurant, Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch. Here's my honest review.

Where is Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch, and where do you park?

Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is located in Avenue France in Baegot, inside the Orange-dong building. Orange-dong? I figured I'd just park and walk over, but wow... the Avenue France building is huge! You need to park in Orange-dong to get there directly. FYI, the parking lot is genuinely massive, so there's no need to worry about parking haha.

Jeongssi Hambak sits on the 2nd floor of Orange-dong. We went during the lunch peak, and it was almost full of locals and office workers!!! Just a heads-up that there can be a wait during lunch peak hours!

Jeongssi Hambak menu prices and what two adults ordered

Jeongssi Hambak specializes in handmade hamburg steak, so you have to order that. Besides that, they also serve various pastas, hamburg steak omurice, fried dishes, and more!

So many delicious-looking dishes, we agonized for a while and ended up ordering: the newly launched hamburg steak omurice (₩15,000), garlic cream hamburg (₩12,000), and Toowoomba pasta (₩11,500). Three dishes for two adults, and the portions were SO generous we nearly burst!!!!

Is Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch comfortable with a baby?

I took this photo when the crowd had thinned out, but customers kept streaming in throughout haha. The tables are spaced widely and the dining room is spacious, so even with a baby, we could eat comfortably without worrying about other people. They have baby chairs too, so it's great to bring a baby along.

Complimentary tteokbokki with one free refill

The amazing thing is that Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch serves tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) as a free side dish! And apparently you can even get one refill.

The tteokbokki tasted exactly like the sweet, delicious kind I used to eat in front of school as a kid, so my husband and I kept saying "wow this tteokbokki is so good," "this is the taste from in front of my school," and demolished it in no time hahaha.

I wanted the one free refill, but since so much food was still coming, I held back. The tteokbokki was so good, though, ugh.

Self-serve bar with pickles and jalapeños

This is the self-serve bar. You just scoop as much as you want. I love pickles and jalapeños so I piled on a lot haha. The water bottle has a cute Del Monte vibe!!! Haha.

How does the food taste? Oversized plates from the start

An impressively lavish spread — first, I was shocked by the sizes. Every plate was huge. That means the portions came out really generous too!

Hamburg steak omurice, 15,000 won: the dish to order

Hamburg steak omurice at Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch

The hamburg steak omurice (₩15,000) was the tastiest dish for both of us — I really recommend ordering this one. It's genuinely, genuinely delicious!

On top of a thin egg sheet, hamburg steak and sauce are generously drizzled, and underneath is fluffy, delicious fried rice — a proper omurice in every sense.

We cut the hamburg steak into bite-sized pieces and scooped it up together — so good... You absolutely have to order this!!!!!

Garlic cream hambak, 12,000 won: thick, juicy patty

The garlic cream hamburg is ₩12,000. It comes with a thick-patty hamburg steak that genuinely felt like a real steak! Loaded with thick, rich cream sauce too. I couldn't wait to try it.

Cross-section of the garlic cream hamburg patty

I was curious about the cross-section so I cut it open — wow, so thick. And the juiciness is insane. There's garlic sauce on top of the hamburg steak, so it's delicious even without dipping into the cream sauce!!!!!! Eyes wide open after this bite — this is so good?!?!?!

The salad that came with it also had a refreshing, tasty dressing, which paired perfectly!

Mixing rice with the cream sauce

The thick, rich cream sauce was delicious too, but I actually preferred eating the garlic sauce plain! The cream sauce was also great mixed into rice — it tasted just like a creamy risotto!!!! Highly, highly recommend!

Toowoomba pasta, 11,500 won: spicier than expected

The Toowoomba pasta is ₩11,500. I ordered it for my husband, who loves pasta, but it turned out much spicier than expected — we both went "whew, hot" while eating it haha. But eating it in between the other dishes worked really well as a spicy palate cleanser!

Is Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch worth a stop? Final verdict

With 2 hours of free parking, you can enjoy the hamburg steak and grab a coffee afterward without stress. If you're looking for a handmade hamburg steak restaurant you can take a baby to in Siheung, Baegot New Town, or Jeongwang-dong, I highly recommend this place. Definitely a true find in Siheung's Baegot Avenue France that I'd love to revisit!
