Siheung Korean BBQ for a family dinner: Ssosam 208
In short
Ssosam 208 Siheung Baegot Branch is a Korean barbecue restaurant in Siheung, Gyeonggi, with charcoal-seared pork and generous sides. We shared the O~Gamdong Set, premium pork jowl, and wine-aged pork skin for 74,000 won at a sofa table with my parents. Verdict: a satisfying pick for a family meal or group feast.

After a weekend date at Siheung Premium Outlets with my parents, we suddenly started craving ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly) when evening came around. I was looking for a place in Baegot-dong with great-quality meat that grills it for you, and came home having met my perfect, once-in-a-lifetime ogyeopsal from the very first bite.

Ssosam 208 Siheung Baegot Branch: how was it for a family gathering?
A lively spot recommended for family meals out and company dinners.

The large cool-blue main sign, with “Ssosam 208” written in white, stood out even from afar, so it was easy to find. The bold lines—“208°C determines the flavor!!” and “There is no more delicious samgyeopsal!!”—really raised my expectations.
A spacious Korean BBQ restaurant that stayed comfortable without smoke
A clean, spacious Korean BBQ restaurant recommended for group gatherings.

I hate it when a Korean BBQ place is thick with smoke, the air feels bad, or the floor and tables are greasy—but Ssosam 208 Siheung Baegot Branch was exceptionally comfortable. The warm red-brick walls and stylish lighting created a cozy yet lively atmosphere, too. Everything felt neatly kept, so the whole meal was fresh and pleasant.
Sofa group seating and the basic table spread
A generous, well-prepared basic spread and table setting.

We visited with a reservation, and the sofa group table was comfortable for our family of three—Mom, Dad, and me. Because it is such a large restaurant, everyone had plenty of room while they ate. The clean grill even has Ssosam 208 embossed on it. For some reason, I love it when a restaurant’s tableware is made especially for that restaurant; it feels trustworthy and shows care~

Each table gets two bottles of water as standard, which felt much more hygienic and nicer than a water bottle no one knows when was last cleaned. Thoughtfully, one was chilled spring water and the other was ice water..!
They also serve a spicy kimchi pho as a complimentary item. Amazingly, it can be refilled once per table. We only had it once because we were here for the meat, but it was absolutely the kind of flavor that makes you want a refill. Perfect with a shot of soju~
The banchan (Korean side dishes) included kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic leaves), and wrap vegetables—and the pricey myeongi namul is unlimited! I also go crazy for seasonings and sauces, so I loved how many there were here. So fun to dip into them! Garlic-wasabi sauce, meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), Maldon salt, cumin seasoning, ssamjang, and minced-garlic oil… I was completely taken with the varied sides and sauces that elevate the meat from the appetizer onward.
A varied menu, from sets to meal dishes
A complete lineup, from generous Boseong Nokdon sets to special side dishes.

Looking carefully through the smart-order screen, so many varied dishes caught my eye. Their most-ordered marble sets, full of the deep flavor of Boseong Nokdon pork, start in the ₩40,000 range for three servings, which is fantastic value. Beyond the sets, there were plenty of grilled items: samgyeopsal, premium pork neck, ogyeopsal, gabrisal (pork skirt meat), wine-aged whole pork skin, thick spicy grilled pork skin, charcoal-seared Daegu makchang (pork intestine), spicy grilled makchang, and frozen pork belly. For spicy-food lovers, there was even spicy back-rib stew in a large bowl and pressure-cooked pork-belly fondue kimchi stew..!

There were heaps of meal and dessert options too: cold buckwheat noodles, cheese kimchi fried rice, flying-fish-roe steamed egg, bibim naengmyeon, mul naengmyeon, Paldo Bibim Men, pork kimchi stew, soybean-paste stew, and rice. One unusual side at a regular Korean BBQ restaurant was asparagus. It is perfect as a garnish—the owner really knows good food,, And pricey Korean minari (water parsley) is even free; it seems especially great when you come with a group, whether for a company dinner or family gathering, because there is so much to order and share.

From longtime staples to hot new drinks, they had it all: Chamisul, Chamisul Ppalttu, Jinro Gold, Jinro Is Back, Cheoeumcheoreom, Saero, Saero Apricot, Grapefruit E-Sul, Terra, Kelly, Cass, Kloud, Tsingtao, makgeolli, Cheongha, Starlight Cheongha, Maehwasu, bokbunja wine, Ilpoom Jinro, Hite Zero, Terra Zero, and more! Truly, if you are holding a company dinner, family gathering, club meetup, or class reunion around Siheung Baegot, I absolutely recommend this place,,
The O~Gamdong Set and wine-aged whole pork skin

After much deliberation among all those dishes, this is what we ordered.
- O~Gamdong Set (Boseong Nokdon) ₩48,000: 200 g ogyeopsal + 200 g pork neck + 170 g gabrisal
- Premium pork jowl 170 g (Boseong Nokdon) ₩18,000
- Wine-aged whole pork skin 150 g ₩8,000
- Total ₩74,000

All the meat we ordered arrived at once.

I just wanted it all to cook already.. They had arranged it like Tetris so well that the meat seemed never-ending, and I was honestly overwhelmed. This huge grill became completely packed with meat alone..

Can you see the three-stage transformation as the meat cooks? It arrives par-grilled over charcoal using top-grade Korean pork, so it cooked quickly without a long wait.

The top-grade Korean pork is aged for 96 hours within five days of slaughter, so the flavor was outstanding—the depth from the aging was no joke.

I truly found my once-in-a-lifetime ogyeopsal at Ssosam 208 Siheung Baegot Branch. My mom agreed it was so delicious that it would be worth traveling back and forth to Siheung just for this meat. The texture was unbelievably tender—an all-time great pork restaurant… The restaurant is clean, and even my mom, who is sensitive to pork odors, approved! I can confidently recommend it for an upcoming Chuseok meal out with your parents, too~
They say the first charcoal sear at 500°C locks in the juices, then grilling at 208°C makes the meat springy and bursting with juice. The owner’s secret..! But it was not just the meat: perhaps because they sprinkle sesame oil and their secret powder, the grilled kimchi, bean sprouts, and onions were packed with savory flavor too.

The other star today was this wine-aged pork skin. I love pork skin, and I especially go crazy for this soft, fluffy, springy, chewy honeycomb-style kind. It already looked delicious as it browned on the grill, but one bite made me wonder if it was the wine aging—there was not a trace of odor, only a subtle nutty richness that made me sigh with admiration.

Sprinkle it with the owner’s secret seasoning, and every chewy bite is happiness~ Dipping it in the garlic-wasabi sauce is the real deal too, so no matter how full you are, please make sure to have the whole pork skin before you leave..
You will regret stopping just because you are full! After a fluffy bite of pork skin, you need to go straight for that springy pork jowl. When it starts to feel a little rich, soak it in the spicy sauce for a bite; then, to finish, do it the classic way: lettuce, perilla leaf, bean sprouts, grilled kimchi, raw garlic, ssamjang, and two pieces of meat all wrapped together. You have to fill your mouth with a big ssam (Korean wrap) to say you really ate well, right?
Events to claim after your meal
Oh, you must not just head out after saying, “I am really full now, that was great.”
- Take part in either a 5-star receipt review or social-media event: one canned drink or ₩1,500 off
- Take part in both events: one bottle of beer or ₩2,500 off
Ssosam 208 Siheung Baegot Branch is great value. The review-event benefits include a canned drink, a bottle of beer, or cash discounts from ₩1,500 to ₩2,500; there are so many perks right to the end, so do not miss them!
A Baegot Korean BBQ restaurant I want to revisit with my parents
Today we properly enjoyed everything from thick, high-quality meat to unbelievably chewy pork skin. The atmosphere was comfortable and the flavor, well, perfect, so I really hope everyone visits. I am planning a drive to Siheung soon for my once-in-a-lifetime meat. If you live nearby, I absolutely recommend it~
I recommend it as a Korean BBQ restaurant to stop by after a date course at Baegot Life Park, Baegot Megabox, Baegot Avenue France, Oido, or Siheung Premium Outlets. Please visit at least once!
