I was tired of using an eyelash curler every morning, so I looked into a lash lift in Guri

Curling my lashes every single morning had gotten so tedious that I finally went for a lash lift again after a long while. My lashes aren't sparse exactly, but the real problem is that they droop like crazy!

Mippeudang Lash Guri is close to Guri Station, so the location alone won me over.

It's about a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Guri Station (Line 8), on the 3rd floor of Dongwon Parkville Building! There's an Ediya Coffee on the ground floor, so it wasn't hard to find even on my first visit. I have a terrible sense of direction, so this kind of thing actually matters a lot to me...

Store vibe and waiting area

Walking in, the space felt cleaner and cozier than I expected. Everything was done in white tones, so it felt fresh and spotless! There was a waiting area with chargers too, so I could charge my phone while I waited and had my consultation.

There was also a separate spot to touch yourself up before and after the treatment, which was convenient.

Why I chose a lift instead of extensions

I went in, changed into slippers, and had a quick consultation! I'd been debating between lash extensions and a lash lift, and this time I went with the lift.

Extensions definitely make your eyes look more defined, but I prefer my lashes looking just naturally curled up rather than overly full or artificial. I also don't wear heavy makeup normally, so I decided on a Guri lash lift this time!

How the curl consultation went

Before the treatment, I talked through the curl I wanted. I said I didn't want anything too sharply bent, just a natural upward curl that shows when my eyes are open. Turns out the look can vary quite a bit depending on the curl type, even with the same lash lift. Curling too aggressively can actually make the eyes look overdone, so I asked for something natural.

The treatment rooms were also kept clean and tidy!

There was even a blanket provided, so I could relax and stay warm the whole time without feeling tense!

The treatment took 50 minutes, and my sensitive eyes were fine

Isn't the little doll I was hugging while lying down so cute haha. The technician's hands moved so fast that while I was just resting comfortably, it was already done in 50 minutes..! My eyes tend to be sensitive during lash treatments, so I worried it might sting or feel uncomfortable, but there was nothing really bothersome about it.

This is the before shot! My previous lash lift had grown out and gotten messy.

And here's the after — the curl comes up just enough to look neat and pretty! When the lashes were drooping down, my eyes looked a bit flat and heavy, but once the curl lifted, they looked so much more open. It's not an exaggerated lift at all, just the natural amount I wanted!

Best of all was not needing an eyelash curler the next morning haha. Washing my face, doing skincare, just tidying my eyebrows a little — and since the lashes were already curled up, my face didn't look as flat. It cut down my makeup time on workdays, so I could sleep in 10 more minutes..

Lash lift or extensions — which is right for you?

I imagine a lot of people are also considering lash extensions in Guri, but if your own lashes already have decent length and thickness, I'd say try a lift first. On the other hand, if your lashes are short or sparse and you want a fuller, more dramatic look, extensions in Guri might suit you better.
