This time I went to Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch craving Thai food! It's a place where you can enjoy a wide range of Thai and other Asian dishes, so it's great for ordering several things and sharing. I picked the signature poo pad pong curry (stir-fried crab curry) and a Vietnamese pho with warm broth I was craving, and the two turned out to pair pretty well together.

Walking into Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch, the space was bigger than I expected. It felt cozy yet exotic. The tables weren't crammed together either, so it was comfortable to eat here!

Besides the regular tables, there was also a separately partitioned room space.

The dish I was most looking forward to at Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch was, of course, the poo pad pong curry! Crispy crab topped with a golden-hued curry and a generous amount of egg looked appetizing right from the start. There was tomato and vegetables in there too~

The curry sauce was savory with a subtle depth of spice.

Mixed with the egg, the texture became even softer, and dipping the crispy fried crab into the sauce combined the savoriness with the curry's rich aroma really well.

Eating the sauce together with rice was delicious — piling egg and plenty of curry sauce onto white rice, along with the fried crab, made it even tastier, haha.

The Vietnamese pho had its own charm, different from the curry, haha.

The clear, hot broth was loaded with rice noodles, bean sprouts, onion, and scallion, with a generous amount of meat on top.

It was clean-tasting with a savory depth that kept me reaching for another spoonful. Taking a bite of the hot pho in between the rich, smooth poo pad pong curry made for a great combination.

The smooth curry sauce paired with rice was so good that I'd want to order the poo pad pong curry again on my next visit, haha.
