Bright, well-lit café table seating

The interior of Dalke Dessert Cafe has a cozy, warm feel, with wood-tone decor and green plants arranged in harmony that put my mind at ease 🌱🌼🌳. The tables were nice and big and the seats well spaced apart, so it was easy to focus on conversation too.

I'm pretty into plants myself, so just sitting there felt healing — I thought it'd be a great spot to read alone or just sit and think :) It felt like stepping into a little garden in the middle of the city, so fresh and bright that I wanted to stay forever.

Café restroom decorated like a resort

Even the restroom was decorated like a resort, so you could feel the owner's attention to detail everywhere ✨ (there are separate restrooms for men and women, so it's easy to use)

Dalke Dessert Cafe's menu board split into drinks and desserts

The menu at Dalke Dessert Cafe is split into drinks and desserts, so it's easy to browse at a glance — and true to being a dessert café, there was a whole lineup of baked goods like cookies, financiers, and scones.

Such tempting handmade desserts :) There were so many kinds in the showcase, too — I immediately understood why it's called 'Dalke Dessert Cafe.' By the way, custom cakes can also be reserved!

Table with fruit pavlova and iced coffee order

What we ordered at Dalke Dessert Cafe: 22,300 won total

  • Fruit pavlova ₩13,000
  • Café latte ₩5,000
  • Americano ₩4,300

We ordered Dalke's signature fruit pavlova. Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert loved in Australia and New Zealand, and since it's Dalke's signature menu item, I really wanted to try it 😋

Fruit pavlova, 13,000 won: crisp meringue with seasonal figs

Dalke Dessert Cafe's signature pavlova is a meringue cake made without flour or butter, topped with fresh seasonal fruit. It's described as a top-tier cake, crisp on the outside and soft inside, with a sweet, melt-in-your-mouth, chewy taste.

Pavlova with fresh fruit topping on a meringue base

First of all, isn't the visual just gorgeous? ✨ It was my first time trying this kind of dessert, and since it's made with a meringue base instead of cake, the crisp-then-melting texture was pure artistry!

Cross-section of the pavlova and whipped cream

The whipped cream had a yogurt-ish feel(?), sweet and tangy in good balance, and there was so much fresh seasonal fruit on top that it actually felt filling. The fact that the toppings change with the seasons made it even more appealing — I made sure to focus on the figs this time 😋

A clean cup of coffee is the perfect match for a sweet dessert! My friend ordered an iced latte and I got an iced americano — the beans had no sourness, which suited my taste perfectly. We enjoyed them a lot. The goblet glass the latte came in was so pretty too ✨
