Mazesoba udon and bibim jjolmyeon set after a morning movie in Suji

On the weekend my boyfriend and I watched an early morning movie (Spider-Man), and afterward I really wanted noodles for lunch, so I searched around and ended up at Chilseong Jemyeonso! Let me write up the review now!

If you copy the address exactly into T Map and search, it'll probably guide you into an apartment parking lot — but that's the right building!! We also thought it seemed wrong, so we double-checked, and it turned out to be correct!

Parking is available, but getting out is complicated

🅿️ Parking available **You need to use the retail building elevator** Make sure to check before you get in the elevator so you don't mix it up with the residents' elevator!

Parking is available, but since apartment residents park there too, there are lots of spots but they're a bit tight! T_T And it's confusing where the exit is, plus people park right at the exit, so we had a really hard time getting out after eating.... If you enter through the residents-only parking entrance, the barrier won't open, so keep that in mind...!!

What's on the menu

Chilseong Jemyeonso has so many menu items that I pulled the menu photo from Naver! Pork cutlet, noodles, jjolmyeon, dumplings — there are even dishes kids can eat! Parents with babies, take note!!! 😍

The exterior

If you take the elevator up from the underground parking lot to the first floor, there are a lot of shops! Among them I went into Chilseong Jemyeonso! The sign really stood out, which was nice! But I was so busy taking photos that I kept walking straight ahead, and my boyfriend grabbed me asking where I was going haha

Interior and self-service bar

The interior was spacious, and maybe because it was lunchtime, there were a lot of customers! The lighting wasn't too bright or too dim, giving off a gentle atmosphere~! Also! The owner and staff were super friendly!

Plates, cups, scissors, tissues — everything was set up self-service so you can grab what you need! But parents with kids should probably keep them from touching stuff, right??!

There were baby chairs, and also a sketchbook & colored pencils so kids wouldn't get bored while eating! Doesn't the owner have great taste? hahaha

Mazesoba Udon Set — ₩16,500

My boyfriend ordered the mazesoba udon set! You just mix it as it comes out, and when I tried a bite, it was like a bibim (mixed) udon kind of thing haha. I also had about one bite, and it was a bit spicy! But it wasn't greasy so it was delicious!

The set always comes with pork cutlet too hahaha. It's crispy!

We used the leftover sauce to mix into the rice and finished it off nicely!

Rice — ₩1,000

🍚 Rice (extra) — ₩1,000 The rice comes out just like the one included with the set. The portion is small hahaha. For a guy, it's basically gone in one bite....!! hahaha (just so you know)

Chilseong Bibim Jjolmyeon Set — ₩15,500

My wedding photo shoot is next month, so why does the world have so much delicious food....haha. I suddenly craved jjolmyeon (spicy chewy cold noodles).... ugh.... I just wanted jjolmyeon and was going to order it alone, but my boyfriend told me to get the set haha, saying he'd eat it if I couldn't finish, so I ordered the set that comes with pork cutlet too!

The jjolmyeon was plated beautifully with vegetables like cucumber, cabbage, bean sprouts, lettuce, and carrots! Just looking at the plating made it look delicious! haha Since I hadn't eaten breakfast that morning before the early movie, I was so hungry that I finished it all!

If you order the set, you get about 4 pieces of pork cutlet, plus a bit of salad on the side! The pork cutlet was crispy and so delicious haha

How to wait

For waiting, I think you can use the Catch Table kiosk outside the restaurant! And I believe there's also a Catch Table app, which should work too!

In summary

Today, since I really wanted noodles, I visited Chilseong Jemyeonso in Suji, Yongin, for lunch! The owner and staff were friendly, there were items for families with kids, and the jjolmyeon set and mazesoba udon set were more satisfying than expected, so I had a delicious lunch! Just one thing — the parking lot is a bit complicated...haha. Other than that, it seems like a good place!
