Incheon department store ramen with keycap gift: Menya Seoul

In short

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a ramen restaurant in the basement 1 food hall of Lotte Department Store Incheon in Michuhol, Incheon. With the mazesoba (soupless tossed noodles) sold out, the order was a mild-broth dongpo pork ramen set with crispy gyoza plus a spicy-broth dongpo pork ramen on its own, and the set came with a free keycap. Thick dongpo pork and jambon ham on the ramen, with crispy gyoza on the side, made Menya Seoul a solid post-shopping meal.

Let me introduce Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch, which I visited for a meal while shopping at Lotte Department Store Incheon on 26.09.13.

A bowl of Menya Seoul ramen topped with dongpo pork

I wanted ramen, and while looking at the menu, the ramen topped with dongpo pork (Chinese-style braised pork belly) looked really unique, so I picked it❣️ This should be a good reference for anyone looking for a quick meal inside Incheon Terminal or Lotte Department Store.

Menya Seoul was an open-style restaurant inside the food court.

Food models and menu signs were set up in front of the restaurant, so you could see what dishes they sell at a glance just by walking past.

Seats were arranged in a long bar style, and the wood-tone chairs matched with the light beige tables gave the whole place a calm atmosphere.

Long bar table seating at Menya Seoul

There were plenty of bar table seats, so solo diners wouldn't feel awkward — it seemed like a good place to eat alone, actually.

Basic condiments and ramen sauce guide on the table

On the tables, basic condiments and guides for sauces to go with the ramen were also set out.

Beyond that, there was a variety of other menu items like mazesoba, cold ramen, karaage, and sweet soy sauce chicken rice bowl, so it was easy to choose according to taste.

I wanted to order the mazesoba, but sadly it was sold out and I couldn't try it.

Mild vs spicy dongpo pork ramen and crispy gyoza: how they tasted

Table with the dongpo pork ramen set and single order

We ordered a mild broth dongpo pork ramen set (with crispy gyoza) and a spicy broth dongpo pork ramen single.

Mild broth dongpo pork ramen with soft-boiled egg and bean sprouts

First, the mild broth dongpo pork ramen had a pale broth with thin noodles, dongpo pork char siu, a soft-boiled egg, bean sprouts, green onion, and seaweed on top.

The broth wasn't harsh at all and was on the mild side, so it was comfortable to eat, and the dongpo pork was piled on thick, so eating it with the ramen let you really feel the texture of the meat too.

The dongpo pork and the ramen really went well together!

Jambon ham served alongside the dongpo pork

There was jambon ham along with the dongpo pork too!

Red broth of the spicy dongpo pork ramen

The spicy broth dongpo pork ramen had a red broth that gave off a clearly spicy vibe right away.

It had a completely different mood from the mild broth, so even though it was the same dongpo pork ramen, you could enjoy it in a totally different way depending on which broth you chose.

The spicy broth made me want to add rice to it!

Golden fried crispy gyoza from Menya Seoul
Plate of crispy gyoza with crunchy wrapper

The crispy gyoza that came with the set was fried to a nice golden brown. The dumpling wrapper had a crispy fried texture, so paired with the soft ramen, the contrast in texture was great, and it worked really well as a side.

If ramen alone feels like not enough, or if you want to enjoy several dishes together, I'd also recommend ordering the crispy gyoza set.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat after shopping at Lotte Department Store Incheon, or searching for a good ramen restaurant near Guwol-dong and Incheon Terminal, give Menya Seoul a try.
