Incheon Terminal ramen set with two toppings in one bowl: Menya Seoul

A ramen restaurant I found in the always-crowded food court at Lotte Department Store Incheon on a weekend — here's my review of Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch 🙌

Where is Menya Seoul in Lotte Department Store Incheon, and what are the seats like?

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is located on the basement floor food court, on the side with Menu by Gordon Ramsay and Outback Steakhouse.

There are bar seats at the front of the store, but as expected, they were completely full when I visited 👍🏻 A truly popular ramen restaurant in Guwol-dong!!

Menya Seoul menu: how do you pick the broth and topping?

At Menya Seoul you can pick dongpo pork or jambon as your ramen topping, and the broth comes in mild, spicy, or mala. The menu has more variety than expected, so it can be a little confusing at first, but it's much simpler if you think of it as choosing the broth first, then the topping! When ordering, it's easiest to just say the number listed on the menu board :)

Besides ramen, they also serve mazesoba and chicken rice bowls, so it's a good spot to visit with people who don't necessarily love ramen too 😉

They also have good-value set menus and couple sets, so if you're visiting with a group, be sure to check those out too!!

Menya Seoul is a well-known ramen restaurant near Incheon Terminal, known for its dongpo pork made from 100g whole pork belly cuts, a ramen broth built from 25 ingredients, and ajitama eggs aged for 48 hours in a special sauce 🙌

At the time of my visit, there was an event giving away a free ajitama egg for writing a Naver review — I couldn't pass that up 😉😉😉

Basic dongpo pork ramen, 17,900 won: dongpo pork plus jambon in one bowl

The basic dongpo pork ramen. I ordered the dongpo pork ramen, but jambon was added on top too, so I got to try both toppings in one bowl 🫶🏻

I pushed the dongpo pork aside first to check out the noodles — they're on the thinner side, which worked really well when eaten together with the broth.

Above all, the broth was pretty rich. The first thing I noticed was the deep broth flavor, followed by a subtle hint of pepper. The rich broth soaked nicely into the thin noodles, making for a great combination of noodles and soup.

The dongpo pork was cooked so~~ tender that it was great both eaten with the noodles and on its own. Getting to try jambon along with it meant I could enjoy two toppings in one dish, which I really liked!

Gyoza as the set side at Menya Seoul

Since I ordered the ramen set, I could pick between gyoza and karaage as a side, and I went with gyoza! The outside was golden and crispy, and the filling inside was packed full, pairing well with the ramen 😋 Ramen alone can sometimes leave you a little unsatisfied, but adding gyoza as a side made it a hearty full meal haha.

Pork belly mazesoba, 11,900 won: spicy and tangy, rice ordered separately

Pork belly mazesoba. This was what my husband ordered — true to its name, it came topped with thick chunks of pork belly!

As soon as the mazesoba arrived, we mixed the sauce and noodles together thoroughly before eating. I tried a bite too, and it was more spicy and tangy than expected — quite appealing 🤤 One disappointing thing was that rice wasn't served together with it ㅠ_ㅠ Mixing rice into the leftover sauce after finishing the mazesoba noodles is basically an unwritten rule, so having to order it separately was a bit of a letdown ㅠ_ㅠ

Is Menya Seoul near Incheon Terminal worth it?

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch offers not just ramen but mazesoba and side dishes too, so I'd recommend it if you're looking for a simple meal in Guwol-dong near Incheon Terminal or at Lotte Department Store Incheon!
