Gijang outlet restaurant with a self-serve apron corner: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is a Western restaurant tucked into the innermost end of NORTH 1F at the Gijang outlet in Busan, right beside the UGG store. After shopping, the family ordered sweet potato fries (8,000 won), rucola prosciutto pizza (22,000 won) and shrimp anchovy oil pasta (18,000 won) through the KT Hi Order kiosk on the table. The smoky, savoury shrimp anchovy oil pasta was the clear favourite at Bueokgan — the one dish worth ordering again on a repeat visit.

Hi, this is Kim Hong. After shopping at the Busan Shinsegae Outlet, I stopped by Bueokgan Restaurant in the dining area for a meal. Since it's inside the outlet, it's easy to visit before or after shopping, and the atmosphere is clean and pleasant — I'd recommend it for a date or a family meal!
Where is Bueokgan inside the Gijang outlet?

Bueokgan Restaurant at the Shinsegae Outlet is located at the very innermost end of NORTH 1F, right next to UGG. Since a new building had gone up, I got a bit confused this time — from the parking lot, go straight into the building and it's on the right side (I may or may not have checked the map a few times). Parking is convenient since you just use the Shinsegae Outlet lot.
European-style interior and the sofa waiting area

At this Western restaurant in Gijang, Busan, the waiting area greets you right as you walk in. There's a wide sofa and — a horse-shaped ornament? A horse baby chair? Either way, you can wait comfortably inside the restaurant if there's a line.

It felt more upscale than I expected for a restaurant inside an outlet mall. The overall vibe is clean and European-style, which makes it a good fit for both dates and family meals. The tables are also fairly spacious.

Aprons, tissues, and wet wipes are placed around the restaurant for you to grab as needed. I didn't notice the aprons were there and asked a staff member instead — they kindly brought one over for me. Thank you!
Ordering at Bueokgan with the KT Hi Order kiosk, and what is on the menu

Each table has a kiosk (KT Hi Order) for placing orders. The menu includes Western dishes like pasta, pizza, salad, gnocchi, risotto, and steak. There are also set menus, so you can try a variety of dishes more affordably.
Three dishes for a family meal: fries, pizza and pasta

Water, cutlery, plates, and cups are already set on the table.

At this Western restaurant in Gijang, Busan, I ordered the sweet potato fries, the shrimp anchovy pasta, and the rucola prosciutto pizza. Here's the full spread once everything arrived.

Sweet potato fries, 8,000 won
Sweet potato fries, ₩8,000. As the name says, these are fried sweet potatoes, with a sweetness quite different from regular fries. They must be the golden sweet potato variety, since they're really sweet — better than brand M's, honestly. I ordered these as a side/snack, and they turned out to be surprisingly delicious.

Rucola prosciutto pizza, 22,000 won
Rucola prosciutto pizza, ₩22,000. Prosciutto is Italian-style cured ham. It's thinly sliced and salty, so on top of the pizza it adds a savory, clean saltiness. At first I thought it was jamón, but it turned out to be prosciutto — yes, I'm the type who googles food while eating.

The fragrant rucola combined with the salty prosciutto on top gives it a fresher feel than a regular cheese pizza. It's a clean, savory pizza that isn't too strong-flavored, so kids can enjoy it without any issue.

Shrimp anchovy oil pasta, 18,000 won
Shrimp anchovy oil pasta, ₩18,000. Some of you might not know what anchovy paste is here (I didn't either). Anchovy paste is made from small anchovy-type fish, salted and aged. Rather than a strong fishy taste, it mainly adds saltiness and umami depth.

Visually, it looks like a standard shrimp oil pasta. Since it's oil-based rather than cream-based, it felt relatively light to eat. Thanks to the anchovy, it had a much saltier, more umami-packed flavor than a plain oil pasta, plus a smoky char I could really taste — a flavor I'd never had before. This is personally my top pick. If I come back to the outlet, I'm 100% ordering this dish again.
