I stopped by Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters, a great coffee spot in Nowon, to recharge with something sweet and relax while department-store shopping! Haha

I’d heard that Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters—Suwon’s pride and hugely famous in Haenggung-dong, Suwon—had opened in Nowon as its first Seoul location. Since I was already at Lotte Department Store, I had to stop by! I joined the line with sky-high expectations for this Nowon Lotte Department Store café.

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Nowon: location and how it works
As for the location! Look toward the escalator going up from the B1 Food Hall, and Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters is right there.

Here are the opening and last-order times for Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters, a great Nowon coffee spot. Its hours and closures follow Lotte Department Store’s schedule, so just check the department store’s closing days before you go!

You can get takeout here, or sit and drink at a table in the Food Hall. If you’re staying to drink, though, it comes in a dedicated store cup rather than a disposable cup under the environmental policy—just something to keep in mind!

Weekday afternoon wait and bean choices
Even though I went on a weekday afternoon, there were customers lined up outside the shop?! Seeing a line even during the day, I thought, yep, this really is a hot café at Nowon Lotte Department Store, haha.

After ordering, I got a pager, and my waiting number was 8! That meant there were eight people ahead of me, but I happily waited, excited to have some delicious coffee.

Once the pager buzzes after you order, you go directly to the pickup counter on the opposite side of the ordering area to collect your drinks!

While waiting, I also browsed the shop’s merchandise and beans. The goods were all so cute, and they sell coffee beans too. I even saw people buying beans without ordering a drink! They said the beans are roasted in-house, so they must be really good.
Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters menu and beans

You can choose from three types of coffee beans.

- Bean types: decaf / mild / dark
- Dark beans are the standard option!
- Medium and decaf beans cost an extra ₩500
- Pregnant customers get a free decaf upgrade
When you’re pregnant, even having one cup of coffee can make you hesitate because of caffeine, so I absolutely love seeing an offer like this, haha.

Ordering coconut coffee and blueberry yogurt
We ordered Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters’ number-one menu item, coconut coffee, along with a blueberry yogurt.

Coconut coffee that made its number-one status obvious
The moment I took a sip of the coconut coffee, I immediately understood why it’s number one! It has creamy shaken espresso on top, and at first glance the cream reminded me of dalgona coffee.

Once I tried it, the sweet, nutty coconut milk and soft, rich shaken-espresso foam blended together, and it was sooo goodㅠㅠ I think this is what they patented, and honestly, I can’t argue with it!

There was a reason everyone orders this one the most, haha. It really is a great coffee spot at Nowon Lotte Department Store.

Blueberry yogurt that cooled me down
I was so hot from shopping, and the blueberry yogurt I drank then was like rain after a drought, haha.

It seemed to be made with milk, ice, and blueberry purée, and both the aroma and flavor were wonderfully intense, haha. It didn’t taste artificial—the pure flavor of the purée came through so strongly that I felt the heat just melt away! This is a recommended menu item at the Nowon Lotte Department Store café for anyone who doesn’t drink coffee.

It’s such a nice place to stop by when you’re tired from shopping at Lotte Department Store, relax in a good mood, and recharge with something sweet. I keep thinking about that patented coconut coffee, so I feel like I’ll be a regular every time I go to the department store, haha.
