Beomgye Station Korean restaurant with beef ugeoji gukbap set: Hantiok
In short
Hantiok Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon Branch is a Korean restaurant on basement level 1 of the Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon branch, by Beomgye Station in Anyang, Gyeonggi. The beef ugeoji gukbap set (₩21,000) and the Andong guksi set (₩22,000) brought a perilla-scented soup, jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork), bossam (boiled pork) and dumplings, and the food arrived fast. I was shopping at Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon branch and suddenly craved a proper Korean meal, so I stopped by Hantiok! I went in without high expectations since it's a restaurant inside a department store, but the food was way better than I thought — I'd genuinely go back!!!! 👍🏻

Where is Hantiok Pyeongchon, and where do you park?
Hantiok Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon Branch is on B1 of Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon Branch, 180 Simindae-ro, Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's not the food court basement — it's the department store basement! You can use the Lotte Department Store parking lot, so just navigate to Lotte Department Store.

Hantiok's menu and what we ordered

That day we ordered
- Andong guksi set x1 (₩22,000)
- Beef ugeoji gukbap set x1 (₩21,000)
That's what we got.

The food came out really fast after ordering. We went in hungry, so barely having to wait was great haha

Side dishes: pickled spring onion and marinated perilla leaves
And the side dishes here are already delicious… The main dish matters, but I'm also secretly a sucker for good side dishes at a Korean restaurant, and here they nailed my taste from the side dishes alone. The pickled green onion especially was great, and the perilla leaf pickle was totally my style!
Beef ugeoji gukbap set: perilla-scented broth and jeyuk

Out of everything I ate that day, what I liked most was the beef ugeoji gukbap (napa cabbage and beef soup with rice).
The ugeoji gukbap had a subtle perilla scent, and the broth felt savory yet hearty!

There was a generous amount of ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves) too, so mixing rice into it made for a full, satisfying bowl.

The beef ugeoji gukbap set also comes with jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork), and I'm pretty picky about jeyuk — I don't usually rave about it — but this jeyuk was seriously good‼️‼️

The meat was tender and the seasoning delicious, and eating it alongside the gukbap made a great combo. I was glad I went with the set.
Andong guksi: meat broth and a generous portion

And the Andong guksi (Andong-style knife-cut noodles)! Andong guksi is noodles in a meat broth, and the soup has a really savory, clean flavor. I personally love this style of meat-broth noodles, so I enjoyed it a lot.
And the portion was way bigger than I expected lol. At first I thought since it's a set with other dishes, the noodles would be a small side, but the portion was surprisingly large and quite filling.

The broth was delicious and the noodles generous, so it seemed like it'd be plenty filling even as a standalone dish.

The dumplings and bossam that come with each set
I also tried the dumplings that came with the set, and they were good too. Eating one dumpling alongside the gukbap or guksi was a nice combination.

The bossam (boiled pork) was tender and tasty too! It might look small in photos, but the portion was bigger than expected — I finished it all and went for a walk afterward…

Wrapping the bossam with pickle, kimchi, and pickled radish was pure bliss 💚 Everything that day was clean and delicious overall, so I'll definitely come back whenever I'm at Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon!
Hantiok's atmosphere and why we would go back

The restaurant itself was clean and the staff were kind, so I felt good throughout the meal. And the food came out fast overall, which makes it a good spot to eat while shopping at the department store. If you like Korean food, try the Andong guksi or the beef ugeoji gukbap!

If you're looking for a Korean restaurant to take your parents to around Beomgye or Pyeongchon, or a hearty meal while shopping at Lotte Department Store Pyeongchon, I recommend Hantiok! Kind service, clean space, and delicious food — all three boxes checked. Found a Korean restaurant I really like after a while 🤍
