Incheon jjukkumi restaurant lunch set with pasta: Boksakkot Pineun Jip

I was suddenly craving something spicy on the weekend, so I headed to Boksakkot Pineun Jip, famous as a jjukkumi (spicy octopus) restaurant in Guwol-dong. I'd been here before for a family gathering, so I trusted it again this time. It's not just about the octopus — you can get pizza and mukbap as part of a set too, so it works well for family or group gatherings haha. This time I tried the Jjuchipa Set for the first time, which comes with octopus and pasta together — surprisingly a real specialty!

Where is Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch, and is there parking?

Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch is located near Susan-dong, close to Guwol-dong and Guwol Asiad.

It's easy to find if you head toward the agricultural and fisheries market from Guwol-dong Seonsuchon intersection, and there's a large parking lot right in front, making it convenient to visit by car.

With parking space for 60+ cars, it seemed like a great fit for anyone looking for a spot for a Guwol-dong group gathering or family meal.

Inside Boksakkot Pineun Jip: 160 seats, group rooms and an outdoor coffee table

The restaurant is spread across two floors, so it's bigger than expected! With 160+ seats and separate group seating available for parties of 20, 50, or 80, there's plenty of room. When I visited, I saw a lot of family tables and larger groups.

Having a separate group room is especially handy if you're looking for a spot for a wedding-invitation gathering or a work dinner with a lot of people. It also felt like a relaxed place to come for a Guwol-dong lunch with family.

There's also an outdoor table area where you can have a simple coffee. Nice that you can chat over coffee outside without having to move to a separate café after the meal haha.

They also have dishes like braised beef short ribs and seafood braised beef short ribs, good for sharing among several people, which is probably why it's popular for group gatherings and work dinners!

How spicy is the Jjuchipa Set at level 2?

What I ordered that day was the Jjuchipa SET. It requires a minimum order of 2, and I ordered it at spice level 2, with pasta noodles and mozzarella cheese coming together with the octopus.

It also came with a rice ball, wood-fired pizza, salad, mukbap, 4 kinds of side dishes, and a dessert drink. Octopus with cheese — do I even need to say it, haha. As the mozzarella melted into the spicy sauce, it mellowed everything out, and I kept reaching for more.

And what surprised me most was the pasta noodles. It felt a little unusual to have pasta at an octopus restaurant, but the spicy sauce soaked into the noodles really well and it worked better than I expected. Eating only octopus can get a bit repetitive, but with the pasta noodles mixed in, there was a nice change of pace in between. Add the savory cheese on top, and it was truly a specialty dish haha.

Since the set also comes with wood-fired pizza, salad, and mukbap, I thought the menu composition was pretty solid when visiting with several people.

And the basic side dishes are unlimited refills, which makes it even better haha.

Verdict: is Boksakkot Pineun Jip good for a Guwol-dong family gathering or work dinner?

Since I'd been here before for a family gathering, this Guwol-dong restaurant visit was quite satisfying again. In particular, Boksakkot Pineun Jip has a spacious dining room and a separate group room, so it seems like a great fit for anyone looking for a spot for a Guwol-dong group gathering, family meal, or work dinner.
