Duck jumulleok with non-alcoholic beer in Gyeyang, Incheon: Ganaandeok
In short
Ganaandeok Gyeyang Branch is a charcoal duck grill restaurant on Jangje-ro near Bakchon Station in Gyeyang, Incheon. Three adults and two children took a 6-person table and split one whole raw duck (700g) half plain and half as duck jumulleok (spicy stir-fried duck), then finished with the free mung bean porridge and a foil-wrapped sweet potato roasted in the charcoal. The charcoal ran hot, so the duck cooked fast and stayed tender enough for the kids, and the wide parking lot behind the building suits family or group dinners.

What kind of restaurant is Ganaandeok Gyeyang Branch?
Ganaandeok Gyeyang Branch is a charcoal duck grill restaurant on the 1st floor of 1038 Jangje-ro, near Bakchon Station in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon. The charcoal grilling gives the duck a gentle smoky flavor, and they wrap sweet potatoes in foil and roast them right in the charcoal, plus serve a free mung bean porridge that's nutty and lightly sweet.

This is a place I visit whenever the craving hits, and this time I went for dinner with friends and all the kids. The building is big and spacious, so parking is easy, and it can seat plenty of people for group gatherings — no worries there! Also good to know: they're open as usual during holidays.
Parking, the entrance and the free dessert coffee
Parking at Ganaandeok Gyeyang Branch is available behind the building, and it's spacious enough to park comfortably.

Dessert coffee & bead ice cream (extra charge). On the way to the entrance there's a claw machine 🧸 the kids love, plus a sweet coffee dispenser for dessert — perfect for a cup! We stopped to look at the claw machine before heading straight in. My kid barely ate lunch and kept saying she'd just play with her sibling and uncle all evening, so I thought, let's fill her up properly at dinner! And of course everyone loves Ganaandeok, so here we came 😘
A 6-person table for three adults and two kids
The interior is spacious with comfortable tables 🪑. There are plenty of multi-person tables, 4-seat and 6-seat, so no worries about space. We came as five total including my child and got a 6-person table — plenty of room to spread out >,,< You can also buy a box of honey sweet potatoes separately 👀
Menu and ordering: one whole duck minimum, two flavors half and half

Looking at the menu, the first order starts at one whole duck, and you can split it half-and-half to try two flavors — a nice perk. For the first order, we went with the raw duck charcoal grill, a well-known dish at this Gyeyang restaurant!
Sweet potato wrapped in foil and roasted in the charcoal

Sweet potato and non-alcoholic beer. The sweet potato comes wrapped in foil 🍠, roasted golden, and eaten as dessert after all the meat is gone 👀 At this Gyeyang duck restaurant, the sweet potato is wrapped tightly in foil so it roasts over the charcoal without burning — and it comes out so sweet and delicious ✨️
What's at the self-serve corner?
They give you a basic set of side dishes, and if you run out, there's a self-serve corner on one side where you can refill freely.
- Ssamjang (dipping sauce) / kimchi / bean sprouts / chive salad
- Cabbage with sauce / garlic / perilla leaves / lettuce
- Cheongyang chili peppers / pickled radish / pickled onion / wasabi
- Kids' spoons and more
Crunchy, salty pickled onion, the crowd-favorite seasoned bean sprouts with great texture, and garlic & ssamjang that are a must for wrapping with the meat.

Fresh, crunchy chive salad, sweet-and-tangy pickled radish wraps everyone loves, and clean, refreshing napa cabbage kimchi.

Fresh lettuce perfect for wraps, and the seasoned sauce and cabbage you dip the meat into. They tuck in the charcoal and roast the sweet potato right alongside it :)
700g of charcoal-grilled raw duck the kids ate happily
At Ganaandeok Gyeyang Branch, the raw duck starts at one whole duck, a generous 700g. Plenty for two to share 👀 With 3 adults and 2 kids, we fed the kids first, then relaxed and ate at our own pace haha.

The fire was hot, so it cooked fast — very convenient. For the kids' portion, they grilled it without adding salt, turning it until golden, packed with smoky flavor ✨️ You know it's even better grilled together with garlic, right?

They cut it into bite-sized pieces, and my kid actually asked for more! We kept feeding her throughout :) Paired with the cabbage and sauce, the crunchy texture went really well together for a clean, satisfying taste 😘

I brought seaweed just in case, and we wrapped rice and seaweed with the meat — worked great! They didn't say anything about us bringing seaweed for the kids, so it was easy to use. They grilled the second duck too, without needing long cooking times. The strong heat meant it cooked fast, and the texture wasn't tough at all — savory and tender together! Dipping it in cabbage and sauce added a nice crunch, and wrapped in a lettuce leaf it filled your mouth with flavor 👀
How do you order the free mung bean porridge?
The mung bean porridge is ordered via the tablet at the table! It's free, and it's nutty on its own — deep, savory, like the porridge made after finishing duck baeksuk (whole duck soup), with the mung bean's natural sweetness. Eating it with kimchi is a perfect combo 👍
Duck jumulleok on the charcoal, with non-alcoholic beer

The jumulleok (spicy marinated grilled meat), coated in savory red sauce, is the perfect drinking snack! You just have to have a cold drink with it haha — and out come the non-alcoholic beers. Nice and refreshing, and the jumulleok wasn't too spicy, just a mild kick that made it easy to keep going back for more — genuinely delicious. Not tough at all, tender with rich flavor, and one order is a generous portion.

Final verdict, plus the honey sweet potatoes to take home
To finish, we had the sweet sweet potato and it was genuinely sweet! Soft texture, sweet enough to call it honey sweet potato, and a perfect dessert to end the meal, filling us up completely 👀 Ganaandeok uses domestic Korean duck grilled over charcoal for that smoky flavor, has plenty of seating for family gatherings or group dinners, and offers roomy, comfortable tables. A generous portion that left us full and satisfied :)
