Hi everyone~ On a Friday I got off work and had dinner with a coworker for the first time in a while. That day, weirdly, I was really craving frozen pork belly. So I looked around Munjeong-dong and found a place — it's the Munjeong Station favorite 'Minari Naengsam'~
Where is Minari Naengsam, and how easy is it to reach from Munjeong Station?
Minari Naengsam is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Building C, 114 Beopwon-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul — an easy walk from Munjeong Station, which made it convenient to swing by after work. There's also basement parking in the building, so driving over wasn't a hassle either.
A day when I really wanted meat after work

Since the area around Munjeong Station has so many office workers, there were plenty of places to eat after work. This time we wanted somewhere comfortable to talk while eating — a good team dinner spot.
What is the restaurant like inside?
Walking into Minari Naengsam, I got a generally relaxed feeling. Since it's a grill-it-yourself spot there was some lively energy, but it wasn't overwhelming.
A retro-feeling meat restaurant found near Munjeong Station, 'Minari Naengsam'

It was a good atmosphere for chatting with coworkers over dinner after work, so I thought it would also work well for office team dinners or casual get-togethers with friends.
Minari kkotnaengsam for three at 14,900 won per serving
What we ordered that day was minari kkotnaengsam for three people. We also ordered a bowl of rice on the side. Since it's known as the signature menu, we decided to try it from the start.
Today's order: 'minari kkotnaengsam'

It's ₩14,900 per serving, thinly sliced pork belly served with minari (water dropwort) — a menu that suited exactly the kind of day I was having when frozen pork belly was on my mind.
How fast does the thin-cut frozen pork belly cook, and how does it taste?
The kkotnaengsam at Minari Naengsam is sliced thin, so it cooked fast. Since we were hungry, I liked that we didn't have to wait long.
Meat grilling to a golden brown

When the meat came out we put it on the grill. Watching it sizzle got me even more excited for that after-work meat flavor. I grilled a piece to a nice golden brown and tried it — the nutty, savory taste really came through. Thanks to the thin cut, there was also fun in getting it crispy.
How does minari water dropwort work with frozen pork belly?
What stuck with me most at Minari Naengsam was, of course, the combination of minari and naengsam. The meat is tasty on its own, but eating it together with well-cooked minari added a fragrant flavor.
Even tastier eaten together with minari

The savoriness of the meat paired especially well with the distinct aroma of minari. Pork belly can start to feel greasy after a while, but eating minari alongside it in between made it feel cleaner and lighter.

It was also tasty wrapped in lettuce with the meat and minari together. This combination worked better than I expected, and I kept reaching for more.
Finishing with a bowl of rice
Eating just the meat felt like it would leave something missing, so we had rice alongside the minari naengsam too. A golden-grilled piece of pork belly with rice was, of course, a great match.

Maybe because I was starving after work, eating it with rice made the meal even more filling. Chatting away with my coworker, the three servings disappeared before we knew it.
Is Minari Naengsam a good spot for an office team dinner?
Minari Naengsam has group seating and takes reservations, which makes it worth keeping in mind when looking for a spot for a larger group dinner. The location, easy for office workers around Munjeong-dong to gather at after work, also felt like a plus.
A good place to talk with a coworker

This visit was a dinner with a coworker after a while, and it was nice to be able to chat naturally while grilling meat together.
Final verdict: a Songpa pork belly grill for after-work cravings
Minari Naengsam, the Munjeong Station favorite I visited this time, is a good place to go when you're craving meat after work. To sum up the points I noticed:
- It was easy to get to from Munjeong Station.
- Parking was available, so driving over was convenient.
- It had a relaxed yet lively atmosphere.
- The thin-cut naengsam was nutty and tasty.
- The fragrant minari-and-naengsam combo was great.
- It also worked well for a team dinner with coworkers.
Above all, I was genuinely craving frozen pork belly that day, so my satisfaction was high. Grilling minari alongside the meat instead of just eating meat alone was also a fun change of pace. If you're looking for somewhere to eat dinner in Munjeong-dong, or a meat restaurant for a casual meal with coworkers, I'd recommend the Munjeong Station favorite Minari Naengsam~
