Jamsil board game café couple date: Death Debate, One Play Jamsil

Today I want to tell you about a place I visited when I was wondering what to do in Jamsil — One Play Jamsil!!

• Parking: Not available, use nearby public parking lot

Turns out we'd actually been here before!!! We found it while wandering the main street in Jamsil — it has OTT streaming, board games, and manga all in one place, so we came back for round two haha

How the rate plans work at One Play Jamsil

When you go up to the 2nd floor at One Play Jamsil, there's a spot to change your shoes, and then you go up to the 3rd floor counter to pick your rate plan before you start playing!!

Here's the menu and the usage guide!! After changing shoes and heading upstairs, there's a counter where you can choose your rate plan~ We visited on the weekend so we went with the package rate, but on weekdays it's only ₩10,000 for unlimited use!!!! Drinks are extra, but,,,!! You could spend all day just reading manga and playing games here for only ₩10,000, so it's such a budget-friendly date,,,

Inside One Play Jamsil: 3rd-floor manga café and 2nd-floor rooms

First, the 3rd floor with the counter runs like a manga café!! There were more titles than I expected, with romance and action being the biggest sections hahahaha There were so many famous titles that I kept going 'ooh this one's fun, this one too!!' to my boyfriend, and turns out he'd secretly read a lot of them too hahaha (I love reading manga, you know~~ haha)

After browsing, we moved down a floor!!! Going through the entrance, there were separate rooms~ The plain rooms with no label are spaces where you can bring board games or manga to enjoy, and then there's the OTT room and the Nintendo room, all separated!!! You just pick whatever you want to do and go in and play — nobody hovers over you or interferes, so you can play and relax totally freely~~

Best two-player board game for couples: Death Debate: Couples Edition

Going further into the 2nd floor, there was a good variety of board games — not as huge a selection as a dedicated board game café, but!! Almost all the famous ones were there hahaha There were more group games than I expected!! So we were looking for something for just the two of us,,!

And we found Death Debate hahahaha, the Couples Edition! It's originally a game where you debate O or X to make your side win, but there weren't separate O/X cards, so we just used it like a would-you-rather game and let the conversation bloom hahaha As you can see from the topics,,, they really make you think hahahaha We started sharing opinions and it basically turned into an interrogation,,hahahahaha And since the package includes a drink, we sipped an Americano while we chatted, and the two hours flew by,,,haha We came in on the 2-hour rate plan!! The extension fee is ₩800 per 10 minutes, but prepaying is a bit cheaper, so I recommend doing that in advance!!

What are the Nintendo room and OTT room like?

Actually last time we visited, we played Nintendo games together on the 3-hour rate plan and did It Takes Two hahaha but we could only clear about half of it each,,,thinking someone must have reset the save,,, so we skipped it this time!! I feel like setting aside a whole weekday just to clear the whole thing would be really fun!

If you don't feel like moving and don't want to do anything, I'd also recommend watching Netflix or Tving!! Lying down might make your back a little sore,,, but for people who don't have Netflix or Tving subscriptions, the upside is you can watch for free,,!!

Ordering extra food and drinks with the table tag

Also, when you first enter, they give you some kind of tag bar? thing, and you can use it to order extra food and drinks~~ Like a movie theater, there's popcorn to eat while watching movies or meal items to eat while gaming, and there are so many options hahaha I felt like you could genuinely play here all day haha
