Location and hours

It's about a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6.

Open daily 11:00–22:30, with seating available until 22:00.

Interior and seating

You could tell from the sign out front that they take their bakery seriously. Just a tip: visit on a weekday between 12 and 1pm for a 20% discount on drinks.

Interior of the large three-floor café

This is the inside of the café. It's a large space spanning three floors, from the basement up to the 2nd floor. Since it's so big, there's a good variety of seating — sofa spots, long tables — so you can pick whatever suits you.

There's also a terrace on the 1st floor. Sitting outside on a nice day like this, you'd almost feel like love was about to bloom in the breeze, haha. It was crowded, so I only got a few photos.

The interior has great natural light and an overall white-and-wood tone that feels clean and tidy.

Menu

Something About Coffee's drink menu board

Check the menu board for drinks! There's also an English menu, so it's easy for international visitors. There are a lot of cream-based lattes, so if you like sweet coffee, give them a try!

Cakes and sablés displayed in the showcase

When I visited, they had peach sablé, fig sablé, peach cheese cake, mont blanc cake, lemon cake, pistachio cake, and more. The sablé flavors seem to rotate daily. The cake selection is varied too, so there's plenty to choose from!

Bakery corner with egg tarts and scones

True to a bakery café, there's a wide range of baked goods on offer. All the bread was covered under glass, which felt hygienic. Pound cakes, finassiers, egg tarts, tigrés, scones — all the classics are there. I liked that there were so many kinds.

Matcha cream choco latte and royal milk tea

I ordered the matcha cream choco latte, and my friend, who's obsessed with milk tea, got the royal milk tea. I personally love matcha cream, but I'm often disappointed because so few cafés let you actually taste it. This one had thick, luscious matcha cream with a pleasant bitterness that wasn't too sweet. Mixed with the chocolate, it tasted like eating chocolate forest ice cream.

Peach cheese cake

This is the peach cheese cake, topped with nectarine. The peach isn't just on top — it's also mixed into the cheesecake itself, so you get that peach tartness with every bite. I liked that the cheese on top had a different texture from the cheese inside the cake. Instead of feeling soggy, the cheese tasted fresh, which made it delicious. The base tasted like Lotus biscuit. I think this is the best peach cake I've had so far — it wasn't a sponge base, and the cream cheese was genuinely fresh. I'd love to have it again.

From left, that's the lemon Earl Grey finassier and the fig cream cheese finassier. They gave us a knife to cut them, which was nice. The lemon Earl Grey finassier had a firm, well-baked Earl Grey base coated with a layer of lemon cream. The tanginess of the lemon paired well with the Earl Grey aroma. Since fig season is here, and the fig cream cheese finassier is my favorite, I ordered it with high expectations. It was packed with fig jam inside, so it didn't cut into a neat slice, but the filling was generous and delicious.

Final thoughts

Not just the drinks but the cakes and baked goods were all consistently good quality, and there was so much variety that I really enjoyed everything. Beyond the great cake and bakery items, the space is big with plenty of different seating, so it's also a good spot for photos and hanging out. I'd definitely visit again.
