Wirye Central Plaza lunch pizza: Zesty Jackson at Jackson Pizza Wirye

Went to Songpa to get a haircut after eons, and it reminded me of Jackson Pizza, which I loved last time 🚪! Compared to other Jackson Pizza branches, this one has a great vibe, especially that weekend Wirye Central Plaza energy, so I came back. This time, my review of the new Zesty Jackson menu — let's go ⭐️

Saturday lunch at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch: why you need a reservation

I made a reservation for 1:30pm Saturday, and good thing I did early — the place was already full with a waitlist too 🫢. We got seated at a window table for two! The interior has that full-on American vibe.

I felt this last time too — Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch is especially serious about its pizza. Nothing is pre-made; they cook it fresh the moment you order, and the place is super thorough about hygiene too 🐰. They mentioned a 10% discount for takeout, so once fall comes, maybe pack one to go and have a picnic at the nearby central plaza or Olympic Park 👀

We came on a date, but most people were parents out with their kids, and one thing I remember — haha — a little boy came dancing in from the plaza, all excited about eating pizza. That's how good Jackson Pizza is 🍕

Zero Coke, the essential sidekick to pizza 🍻. The weather was so nice and fall was starting to creep in, so draft beer felt like the move, but I held back and just got a Coke... ^^ Plenty of people were having pizza and beer even in broad daylight. Yum.

While we waited for the pizza chatting away, the BGM playing in the store was so good that my husband saved it as a 'Jackson Pizza' playlist. 🤣 American vibes that go perfectly with pizza 🇺🇸

What is on the new Zesty Jackson pizza? Fries, bacon and house zesty sauce

Finally, here comes the Zesty Jackson ‼️ I don't really know pizza, so I picked based on the specific ingredients — made in-house with

• zesty sauce
• beef
• bacon

as the main ingredients — that was this new Jackson Pizza item. Full of anticipation! ✅

Personally, I find potato pizzas a bit disappointing when they just have wedge potatoes on top, but Zesty Jackson pizza has thick-cut fries and bacon right on it, so the flavor and texture were way better..! 👍 And whatever this zesty sauce actually is, its rich cheesy flavor and umami were amazing, giving the whole pizza great balance.

Refillable ranch sauce at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch

This sauce is a ranch dip for pizza, and I mostly ate it with the crust. Since it's refillable, I basically drowned every bite in it, and it added a different flavor from the basic zesty sauce, so it never got boring 😁 Yum.

I don't usually have much of a pizza stomach, but maybe because it was the regular size, I polished off slice after slice before I knew it 🥲 The scallions on top actually worked really well, cutting the richness a bit.

My small and cute pizza 🍕. It may look modest, but when it first arrived, it was piping hot and smelled amazing, so I ate it blowing on each bite. If you're a Jackson Pizza fan, you know — the crust edges are crispy without being tough, so you end up eating the whole thing! 😁

How does the Getto Bolognese pasta taste?

Last time I only had a large pizza, so this time I ordered the ragu Bolognese pasta 🍝 — its full name is 'Getto Bolognese.' Reading the menu description, haha, it promises a rich spaghetti that tastes like a big American guy's comfort food 🍅

.. . ha, how could I not order it?

The spaghetti was loaded with cheese and meat, and just like the menu description promised, it was rich and I kept eating bite after bite 💦 It also paired really well with the Zesty Jackson pizza, so I'd recommend trying it as a side. Usually spaghetti served alongside pizza gets reheated wrapped in foil, but this one came out straight from a super hot oven, still bubbling — I liked that too, haha 🍝

++ Personally, whether it's pasta or any other dish, I prefer thin noodles, and even though the Getto Bolognese sauce was intense, the noodles were on the thinner side, so I could enjoy just the richness without it feeling too heavy. ☺️

A restaurant with Jackson Pizza's own funky vibe, great for a weekend lunch out at the Wirye outdoor plaza -! 🌟 The new Zesty Jackson pizza is just as good as the Legend or Super Jackson, so I recommend trying it too 🍻
