An 8-CB tone-up dye at Yeum Hair after a year without coloring

It's been a really long time since I dyed my hair. Between pregnancy and childbirth, a full year went by without a single dye job, so since it had been so long, I didn't go super bright — just a natural one-tone-up. The salon I went to this time is Yeum Hair, located near Jeongja Station!

Yeum Hair has a referral event and reasonable prices, so it's easy to visit without much burden. Also, they carry vegan hair dye that's safe for pregnant women, so if you're looking into hair dye options while pregnant, this could be useful info :) I went with the regular dye option since it came with a discount, and it still turned out clean with no major damage to my hair. So let me post the before-and-after photos first, then record the rest of the process.

How to find Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch, and what the salon looks like

Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch is on the 4th floor of Baekgung Plaza. There's an entrance to the Baekgung building right next to Mega Coffee. Bundang is a first-generation new town, so all the storefronts are old, but the shop interiors are all so clean one by one! Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch is no exception — very neat and stylish inside.

Once you get off on the 4th floor, it's easy to find! 👇🏻 A hair salon that's clean from the outside in. From the 4th floor, you can see the leaves of the roadside trees — a nice view of late-summer greenery! The inside is very clean, and even though it's a hair salon, there's zero smell of chemicals — a really pleasant space.

- Color consultation - I consulted with Teacher Haneul about the dye color. I hadn't decided on an exact shade beforehand, so we settled on the color together during the consultation!

I picked the color 8-CB. Not too bright, but with a slight hint of color showing in natural light !!! (I originally wanted 9-CB, but it seemed like it would come out too light, so I went with a calmer, darker brown instead!!)

My hair before the dye. Since I hadn't colored it for a year, my natural hair color really shows through! And the lower section is a bit blotchy from the previous dye job fading to a reddish tone.

The dye was finished in about an hour! Thanks to the scalp protectant, there was no irritation and it went smoothly with zero stinging on the scalp!

Indoors it looks like a very slightly dark brown, and outdoors it gives off a natural brown feel. After such a long time without dyeing, I went with a subtle brown that wasn't too much of a leap!

My tone used to be a bit blotchy, but evening it all out this time gave a much cleaner, more polished look! 👍

A calm, clean color! No scalp irritation and not much damage to my hair either! Since it had been so long since my last change, I'm even more satisfied :)
