Today, I visited Petrico, a Hapjeong soufflé spot and Hongdae dessert café with delicious moist, fluffy, cloud-like soufflé!

Introduction to Petrico soufflé café

Both the Café Matcha and chocolate banana soufflé I ordered looked so pretty. They were seriously appetizing.

Chocolate banana soufflé that melts like a cloud

First up was the chocolate banana soufflé I ordered. The fluffy, big cloud-like soufflé was piled high with banana and chocolate syrup. Even at first glance, it looked unbelievably delicious.

I tried it right away, and the soufflé really did have a cloud-like, soft texture that melted away in my mouth. I love soufflé pancakes and have tried lots of them, but Petrico’s was especially fluffy and soft—so good.

It was even sweeter with plenty of chocolate syrup. The rich, sweet syrup gave me a proper sugar boost and tasted amazing. The bananas were in great condition and nicely sweet too, and they were so delicious with the chocolate syrup.

Café Matcha for matcha and coffee together

Next was a drink called Café Matcha: a matcha latte topped with an espresso shot and cream. It was just right for someone like me who loves both matcha and coffee. The espresso added coffee aroma and caffeine to the sweet matcha latte, while the sweet cream made it even more indulgent.

The cream was especially soft and delicious, and it was topped with matcha powder, so I could properly enjoy matcha’s pleasantly bitter flavor. The matcha latte itself also had plenty of matcha powder, giving it a full matcha flavor. I enjoyed it so much.

Both the soufflé and Café Matcha looked beautiful and tasted excellent, so I really enjoyed them. They also made a great pairing, and having them together was even tastier while giving me a sugar boost.
