First and second floor seating and the self-service bar at Famous Benny
The 1st floor also has window seats and tables plus the ordering counter. Since this Gwangalli brunch spot opens at 8am, it's great for brunch anytime from early morning to late afternoon 🌟
The 2nd floor is bigger and has a cozy, wood-tone atmosphere. We visited on a weekend afternoon and there were plenty of people having brunch. We took a seat upstairs and went to order.

Our drinks and gelato arrived first ☕️
The coffee came with a card explaining the beans — the Americano had a bit of acidity, while the decaf had almost no acidity and tasted more nutty ☕️

Our brunch dishes came out right after. True to a Gwangalli brunch café, the plating was pretty and the food looked delicious 😋
What comes with the signature Famous Benny salmon?
Famous Benny salmon, ₩18,000. Their signature dish lets you choose bacon or salmon — we went with salmon. ✔️ It came with a croissant, poached eggs, avocado, sabayon sauce, macadamia nuts and onion chips, 🥚and there were two poached eggs.
We popped the poached eggs and ate them with the croissant, salmon, avocado and onion chips — the chewy croissant paired well with the salty salmon, and the onion chips had a nice savory flavor too 😋

Bacon scramble toast on crisp sourdough
The bacon scramble toast came with sourdough, scrambled eggs, bacon, and basil cream cheese. The sourdough was fried, so it had a crispy texture, and topped with salty bacon, scrambled eggs and 🌿basil cream cheese sauce, it was delicious! There was a subtle basil aroma in the sauce, and the crispy sourdough made it a great bite 🥪
Famous Benny, this Gwangalli brunch café, has a wide variety of brunch options for a light meal, and it's close to Gwangalli Beach too, so it's easy to stop by 😊 With plenty of drink options as well, it's a great Gwangalli spot for a light coffee run or a date — that's my recommendation 👍
