Every time I plan a Sokcho trip I stress over where to stay, but honestly, since you spend so little actual time in the room, I've decided a clean, good-value place beats somewhere pricey and fancy. That's how I found Winners Motel, a budget-friendly stay in Sokcho!! It's bright and spotless, so if you're looking for an affordable place in Sokcho, this is it. Really great for a solo stay in Sokcho too.
Where is Winners Motel in Sokcho?
Winners Motel is located at 33 Meokgeori 2-gil, Gyodong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon. Check-in is 15:00, check-out is 12:00.

From the moment you walk into the first-floor lobby, you can tell it's clean and well kept. Maybe it's because it's family-run, but the vibe felt genuinely warm from check-in onward. Easy to check in solo too, so I'd totally recommend it to solo travelers.

Winners Motel was named an Outstanding Motel in Sokcho at the 2026 Korea Consumer Industry Awards. Seeing an award like this makes me trust the place even more. There's a reason people recommend it.

A water purifier on every floor and quiet double-door rooms
Something I really liked about staying at Winners: the water purifier isn't only on the first floor — every floor has its own. No need to go back and forth for water, you can just refill on the spot, so I never once ran low. Little details like this really boost how convenient a stay feels.

If you're a light sleeper at night, pick this place for your Sokcho stay. The rooms have a double-door (jungmun) entry structure, so it's doubly quiet!

I was genuinely surprised how spotless the room was the moment I walked in. No clutter, everything neatly arranged — the kind of space where you can just drop your bags and relax right away. It's an affordable Sokcho hotel, yet it's this spacious and clean — totally satisfied.

The bed and the non-smoking room
The bed was way softer than I expected — I fell asleep almost the moment I lay down. Even for a short stay, a good bed really matters, and this place clearly passes on that front.

The all-rooms-non-smoking policy was properly enforced, so the stay felt fresh and pleasant. Genuinely zero cigarette smell!! If that matters to you, I'd fully recommend this place among Sokcho's budget-friendly stays.

A chair and table you can really work at on a laptop
What I especially liked was having a separate chair and table, which made laptop work totally comfortable. Handy for knocking out a quick task while traveling or backing up photos — having an actual desk makes a difference. There's also a wide desk area under the TV, great for organizing your stuff or as extra workspace.

Bathroom with a bathtub, and the amenities
The bathroom felt so clean and tidy the moment I walked in, like it had just been fully remodeled. There's a bathtub too, perfect for a half-body soak to relieve trip fatigue, and towels were stocked generously, so nothing felt lacking. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were all set up too — no need to bring your own, which was another plus!

They also provide free disposables including a toothbrush, and when I opened the fridge there were Ediya coffee mixes along with 2 bottles of water, so I didn't need to go out and buy water separately. These little touches add up to make it a genuinely solid, budget-friendly Sokcho stay.
Is Winners Motel worth it? The verdict
If you're planning a Sokcho trip and looking for a place that's good value and spotlessly clean, I really want to recommend Winners Motel. Water purifiers, fridge amenities, a soft bed, and a clean, tidy interior — even for a short stay, the satisfaction was solid. I'll be booking it again on my next Sokcho trip!
