Suwon café terrace for burrata melon salad: Kueodeukkutteu
In short
Kueodeukkutteu is a café in Suwon, Gyeonggi, with a first-floor terrace and second-floor seating. I had burrata Korean melon salad, perilla oil ice cream, and coffee while soaking up the quiet upstairs mood. Verdict: the Korean melon, burrata, and perilla oil desserts are unforgettable.

If Korean melon were coffee, Korean melon salad would be TOP... The real charm of Korean melon (chamoe) is that cool, sweet juice that bursts out the moment you take a bite. Add burrata cheese, and I’m telling you, the whole flavor profile changes completely? Pull the burrata open just a little and creamy cheese gently spills out. The Korean melon’s refreshing, subtle sweetness and the burrata’s nutty, mild flavor layer together so beautifully in your mouth... Take a photo first, then scoop up the melon and cheese together—sweetness and nuttiness explode!! Slurp... isn’t there a great burrata Korean melon salad spot in my neighborhood?

Trying the burrata Korean melon salad and perilla oil ice cream
Do you like burrata Korean melon salad? I really like perilla oil ice cream too. So, I’ll give them a try.
First-floor terrace and second-floor seating

The first-floor terrace and window seats are lovely, but if you want a quieter atmosphere, head upstairs~!

Woooow... can we agree this is a proper Haenggung-dong café terrace?
Second-floor restroom

Where is the restroom~? It’s on the second floor too!
The Korean melon and burrata cheese combination
What happens when burrata cheese meets Korean melon? The crisp bite of Korean melon—something you can only find in Korea—plus the rich thickness of burrata cheese... what more is there to say? Even when you’re full, this irresistible salad just keeps going down!
A cup of coffee

On a day this lovely, how could I not have a cup of coffee? Hot Americano.
Perilla oil ice cream

It’s me... perilla oil... I thought it would be ordinary vanilla ice cream, but they piled on perilla oil and perilla seed powder, and oh my goodness, oh my days... this is a Haenggung-dong café terrace dessert you can’t taste anywhere else.
A caffeine transfusion

For Koreans, a caffeine transfusion is essential. Iced Americano. A great Haenggung-dong spot? Yep, approved!
