Suwon café for coloring with kids: Café Meomureum

Every weekend, I find myself wondering where to take the kids :) This time, I wanted to have a drink and spend some relaxed time with them, so we visited Café Meomureum 🤗 When I saw it in person, it was much more spacious than a typical café, with lots of different seating options. Artwork and plants were woven throughout, giving it such a calming atmosphere! Best of all, there were books for kids, a coloring area, and even high chairs, so it was a nice place to visit with children~! If you are looking for a Suwon café where your family can relax together, this may be one to keep in mind 💕

Café Meomureum, where artwork and plants come together

The first thing that caught my eye when I entered Café Meomureum was its clean yet warm interior. White floors and walls are paired with wooden furniture and green tile accents, while large plants placed around the café add a fresh feel :) Different artworks are displayed on the walls too, making it feel a little like stepping into a gallery. Each piece had its own mood, which made looking around fun, and they suited the café's calm atmosphere so well!

Along the windows, there is a long bar table with tall stools, and beyond regular tables, there are sofas and single seats as well. It looked great whether you are spending time alone or visiting with a group 💛 The whole space feels open, so even when we came with the kids on the weekend, it did not feel too cramped~!

Why it was nice to visit with kids

When you take children to a café, the drinks and atmosphere matter, but it is also important that the kids have something to do so they do not get bored, even for a little while 😊 Café Meomureum has a dedicated bookshelf filled with books for children! There were all kinds, from picture books to books children would enjoy, so the kids naturally headed over to browse :)

There was also a corner with colored pencils and a place to color. The kids were so interested, looking around as soon as we arrived, that we got to enjoy a little more relaxed time too! Several high chairs were available, which looked convenient for visitors with younger children 💛 These small details are especially welcome when you are a parent :) It felt like the café had considered family visitors as well as creating a pretty space, so it is worth remembering when looking for a Suwon café to visit with kids 💕

What we ordered

We ordered a café latte, caramel macchiato, and iced tea that day 😊 The café latte blended coffee and milk smoothly, making it easy to drink without feeling heavy. It had a nutty, soft flavor and was a lovely classic choice for sipping slowly while chatting at the café!

On a day when I was craving sweet coffee, the caramel macchiato was a nice pick: smooth milk, coffee, and sweet caramel flavors came together for a little mood lift. Served nice and cold over plenty of ice, it was the perfect sweet recharge during our weekend outing! The iced tea was a light, refreshing choice for anyone not drinking coffee. Sweet and cool, it was easy to enjoy on a hot day! The glasses had the “Meomureum” logo on them, which made the café's own character come through nicely in photos too :)

There is bakery food for a simple bite, too

There were bakery items by the counter that would go nicely with drinks too :) Simple breads such as apple pie, banana bread, and garlic bread were displayed, and they looked like good choices to order with a drink when you are feeling peckish~! Kids sometimes suddenly say they are hungry when you take them to a café, so having easy food like this is another plus 💛 I also noticed a sign for salt bread near the entrance, so next time I visit Café Meomureum, I would like to try some bread with my drink~!

A comfortable space whether you come alone or with family

Further inside, there were more private-style seats separated by partitions. They looked well suited to anyone wanting to focus a little more, while the table and sofa seats seemed great for comfortably chatting with family or friends :) The window seats running alongside the floor-to-ceiling windows had a lovely view of the greenery outside too!

There are lots of pretty cafés in Suwon these days, but some feel a little difficult to visit with young children~! With high chairs, children's books, and a coloring area, Café Meomureum felt much easier to visit with kids :)

Café Meomureum was a Suwon café where artwork and plants came together naturally in a spacious, comfortable setting, making it a nice place to take a break 🧡 We visited with the kids on the weekend, and because they could look around the café and browse books, the whole family was able to spend relatively relaxed time there :) If you would rather have a cup of coffee somewhere comfortable with your child than visit a flashy mega-café, or if you are looking for a laid-back café in Suwon, it may be worth a visit! Just like its name suggests, it was a lovely place to simply linger for a while 💘
