Raw yukhoe side dish at a Uijeongbu pork galbi spot: Manpo Galbi
In short
Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch is a charcoal pork galbi restaurant on Beomgol-ro 145beon-gil in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. After a baby photoshoot, the writer ordered 3 servings of handmade marinated galbi at 16,000 won each with chadol doenjang jjigae (beef brisket soybean paste stew) and steamed egg, ate the raw yukhoe (beef tartare) and grill-top stir-fried kimchi that come as basic side dishes, and finished with the free naengmyeon (cold noodles). With a baby chair and parking right out front, Manpo Galbi made an easy family lunch with a baby along.

After a baby photoshoot in Uijeongbu, we went looking for somewhere to eat nearby and ended up at Manpo Galbi :) Charcoal-grilled galbi has been hitting the spot lately, and this place turned out to be exactly what I was craving~~!
It's the kind of restaurant where the lunch galbi set is super popular, and get this — the basic side dishes even include yukhoe (beef tartare) 👍🏻👍🏻
Uijeongbu pork galbi restaurant 'Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch' — charcoal galbi, free naengmyeon, and yukhoe as a basic side dish. Let me write up a proper recommendation for this Uijeongbu spot!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch, and where do you park?
📍 11 Beomgol-ro 145beon-gil, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 1F ⏰ Mon–Sun 11:00 – 23:00 🚘 Parking available (right in front of the restaurant)
There's room for about 2-3 cars right in front, so we parked right there. It was nice not having to walk far after parking >.< If it's full, there's a public parking lot nearby.

What we ordered at Manpo Galbi: 3 servings of marinated galbi and chadol doenjang jjigae
At Manpo Galbi Uijeongbu Main Branch we ordered handmade marinated galbi at ₩16,000 x 3 servings, rice, cheotdol doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg. The lunch special set looked really generous too.
And since naengmyeon is free here, we planned to finish the meal with cold noodles! haha

Is Manpo Galbi okay with a baby? Baby chairs and a roomy dining hall
Since we had our baby with us, having a baby chair mattered a lot — and Manpo Galbi had one ready and waiting :)

The interior was really spacious, so it looked like it could easily handle group gatherings or family get-togethers too :)

A Uijeongbu galbi restaurant that serves raw yukhoe as a free side dish
The basic side dishes were seriously spotless, and my favorite among them was, of course, the yukhoe (raw beef tartare)!!! It comes as a basic side dish, and the portion of raw yukhoe was plenty for two of us.

They also give you kimchi to grill, and since it's stir-fried kimchi that's then grilled, it tastes even better.

How the charcoal-grilled marinated galbi tastes
Soon after, our 3 servings of marinated galbi arrived.

They put it on the charcoal grill and flipped it evenly so it wouldn't burn.

It already looked so good I was full of anticipation. Galbi made with pork neck (mokssal) is the tastiest, and this one had the marinade soaked in so well that I was expecting it to be amazing.

Why you should order the chadol doenjang jjigae
Eek, the cheotdol doenjang jjigae arrived too, packed with beef brisket and full of tofu and zucchini — so good with rice. Definitely order the cheotdol doenjang jjigae :)

Finishing lunch with the free naengmyeon
We finished by ordering naengmyeon and mixing it up with the leftover galbi — ended up full and very satisfied 👍🏻 If you love galbi, definitely visit.
The story behind the Manpo Galbi brand
I liked the brand story so I brought it along here. It's said Manpo Galbi began in Uijeongbu with the desire to serve good food, and has stayed beloved by sticking to one belief: 'a galbi restaurant needs good meat.' There was also a note saying they aim not just to fill stomachs, but to make guests think 'that was really enjoyable.'
Good galbi, they say, needs three things: first, the meat itself must be excellent and consistently so; second, the marinade shouldn't mask the meat's natural flavor; third, it should pick up smoky flavor from the charcoal. They make the naengmyeon dough fresh every morning and pull the noodles to order, and they also simmer 100 servings' worth of galbitang (galbi soup) daily from top-grade galbi for a clean, traditional version.
A marinade loaded with fruit for a mild, non-harsh flavor, 100% real pork galbi, free house-made naengmyeon, and a variety of neat handmade side dishes are said to be Manpo Galbi's defining features. The menu includes marinated pork galbi, LA galbi, raw galbi, beef galbi, galbitang, and Hamhung-style naengmyeon.
