Myeongdong esthetic facial with PDRN booster for dry skin: Beautae

Lately, as the seasons have been changing, my skin has gotten noticeably drier and I've been bothered by small bumps. Home care alone wasn't enough, so I felt I needed professional treatment. Beautae Esthetic is located on the 6th floor of Hyoryeong Building, between City Hall Station and Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station. When heading there for the first time, just search for 32 Mugyo-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul and go to Hyoryeong Building.

After entering the building, take the elevator up to the 6th floor and you'll find Beautae Esthetic in Room 604.

If you're coming by public transit, get off at City Hall Station or Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station and walk over. If you're driving, you can use the Hyoryeong Building parking lot.

What the self-diagnosis form revealed about my skin

After arriving at Beautae Esthetic, the first thing I did was fill out a self-diagnosis form to check my skin condition. It covered everything in detail, from current skin concerns to my usual skin care routine and lifestyle habits.

My biggest concerns were exactly these two:

They told me that when skin is as dry as mine currently was, it's more important to fill in moisture and balance the skin rather than aggressively removing dead skin cells or sebum. I tend to cleanse my skin very thoroughly without realizing it, but apparently cleansing too thoroughly can actually make skin drier! Hearing that, I suddenly pictured myself scrubbing way too hard and felt a bit guilty haha 😂

After the consultation, I moved to the treatment room. The overall atmosphere was clean and calm, which made it comfortable to receive treatment. It was the kind of quiet setting where you could lie down and just focus on the treatment. Before starting, they neatly put away my belongings and made sure I could relax comfortably during the session.

Overall, my skin was a bit rough and had small bumps coming up. Especially since the seasons changed, I could clearly feel that my skin was drying out more easily than usual.

They started with cleansing first. After thoroughly clearing away leftover makeup and impurities on my skin, they checked my skin condition again before moving on to the next step.

How the PDRN ampoule is applied

After skin prep, they applied plenty of PDRN ampoule and started the main treatment. After generously layering the ampoule onto my skin, they carefully worked it in using a water-drop device. As they applied plenty of ampoule to my dry, rough skin, I could feel my skin getting moister during the treatment. Since my skin is especially dry these days, the esthetician also checked in on my skin condition periodically. She really poured on the ampoule generously in the dry areas.

My skin after the PDRN facial: smoother and still hydrated the next day

After the treatment was done, I looked in the mirror and my skin looked more moisturized than before ✨. Before the treatment, my skin felt rough and tight, but afterward the surface felt much smoother, my skin texture looked more even, and there was this plump, dewy glow that felt like it was coming from deep within. That soft, bouncy feeling — ah, it was so nice. Even the next day, my skin still felt moisturized and firm, which was honestly surprising.

This time I tried the PDRN ampoule skin treatment at Beautae Esthetic in Myeongdong. What I liked most was that they tailored the direction of the treatment specifically to my current skin concerns.

During times like now, when the changing seasons make skin suddenly dry with inner tightness and small bumps together, I realized once again that a hundred rounds of home care can't compare to visible results from a shop treatment. Coming out of the PDRN ampoule treatment with my dry, rough skin now smooth and moisturized, this was an overall satisfying visit to Beautae Esthetic in Myeongdong :)
