Seolleung restaurant with ₩50,000 steak set and shrimp pasta: Kkuudeok
In short
Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch is a Western-style restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, known for handmade sauce pasta and mini-brazier steak. A weeknight dinner brought a steak set around ₩50,000 with cheese meat pasta, shrimp oil pasta and pollack roe mayo rice ball, with the steak grilled tableside to preferred doneness. Portions run about 1.5 servings and the food itself is delicious regardless of price, making this a solid pick when visiting Seolleung.

These days the hot weather has finally been easing up, but at night the wind🍃 has been blowing hard. As I've mentioned a few times, I naturally run hot🥵, so a cool breeze at night felt great to me. But the friends next to me kept saying they were cold…
Just in case, make sure to bring a light jacket when you head out. Today I want to recommend a place for those days when you want to go somewhere with good atmosphere, but hesitate because of price like I do!💜

Turns out it's also a great spot for takeout. Kkuudeok makes its thick, house-made sauce pasta🍝 fresh every day, and the steak🥩 is pre-seared in the kitchen so you can finish grilling it yourself at your table on a mini brazier!

Gangnam at this price? First impression of the menu
I booked the last table on a weekday evening. Just looking at the menu board outside, you'd think 'wait, I expected this to be pricier being in Gangnam, but it's actually pretty affordable'💚 I even assumed at first there were separate lunch and dinner prices, but nope — it's just this price all day.

The wooden sign🪵 written in such a cute font.. The steak with the mini brazier🔥 is what I was most curious about at Kkuudeok — I came all the way to Seolleung just for this.

Interior and seating
Walking in, there's a chandelier🕯️ with nice mood lighting.. The ceilings are pretty high so it feels open, and if you look closely the interior sits somewhere between vintage and upscale! Let me hurry and take a seat. Even though I came on a weekday evening, the place was packed..🫣 There were families and also a lot of couples.

I love this fork-and-spoon set you find at Western restaurants like this. The fact that it's a spoon paired with the fork instead of a knife is a nice touch..
Sitting down and looking at the kiosk menu, the set composition is really solid, and above all the price is such good value🫢 These days even brunch cafés and restaurants often charge over ₩15,000 for pasta, so this pricing felt really reasonable. On top of that, the service is good, and the atmosphere isn't overly stiff for a restaurant — it's relaxed, so it never felt intimidating.

What's in the ₩50,000 steak set
We ordered the set menu with the basic steak option. Considering it comes with a steak as part of a set menu at around ₩50,000, isn't that great value?

Once seated, water💦 and pickles are already set on the table — the pickles are kept hygienically, and even the tongs were clean, so you can trust the food here. Sometimes you run into places where the tongs are in bad shape, but this place was really tidy.

First came the drinks and the mini brazier. The mini brazier is so cute.. it's such a small, adorable size.. The drinks arrive with an ice cup and straw set. While sipping a drink and wetting my throat..🍹

Cheese meat pasta and shrimp oil pasta
The pasta comes out first. The plates are seriously huge.

Bam!! The visuals are almost aggressive.. See all that cheese? They really don't skimp on ingredients. The cheese meat pasta is a tomato🍅🥫 sauce meat pasta with just the right tang, and the cheese blends in beautifully rather than sitting separately in your mouth.

This one's just as visually over-the-top.. See how plump those shrimp are? Even in such a big bowl, it doesn't look empty at all — it's packed. The shrimp oil pasta has just the right amount of spice🌶️ with a strong garlic🧄 aroma that really suits Korean tastes, and hearty chunks of mushroom and tomato are mixed in generously. The cheese🧀 and oil come together well, and the seasoning was spot on.

The extra pollack roe mayo rice ball we added
The pollack roe mayo rice ball we ordered as an extra. I honestly haven't had pollack roe mayo that often, but the moment I tried it, the scallions and roe paired so fragrantly and the rice was perfectly fluffy — totally my type! If you're craving something rice-based, I'd definitely recommend this. The steak that came alongside was just the right size too, and it paired really well with the mushroom and corn🌽 garnish.

Grilled to your own doneness on the mini brazier
Being able to grill the steak yourself to your preferred doneness was a huge plus🥰 Whenever you order a steak dish like this with a friend, there's always that awkward moment where your doneness preferences don't match and someone has to compromise. Here, since you grill it yourself, you can match it exactly to your own taste — I loved that. Personally I like mine well-done, and even after grilling it longer, the meat stayed tender and never got tough.

The five sauces served alongside
Several kinds of sauces came out too — wholegrain mustard, steak sauce, salt, wasabi, and a green onion sauce. Personally, salt🧂 was the best. The meat itself was so good that even just dipping it in salt let the full meaty flavor spread through my mouth, which I loved💕 Naturally the meat had no gamey smell, and the thickness was just right — never tough enough to tire your jaw.

In case the seasoning isn't quite to your taste, there are condiments at every table, so you can tell they put thought into letting people adjust to their own preference. Most dishes are seasoned to an average taste level, so I enjoyed my meal without needing any extra condiments.

My conclusion after eating
Lastly, the kiosk. If you look below, there's a review event set up too, so leave a nice review and treat yourself to some ice cream🍨 on the way out. My teeth are too sensitive these days though... I'm at the age where I want it but can't eat it🥲
Honestly, at first I thought I'd just call it an affordable, good-value spot and leave it at that, but no, that's not it at all. Setting price completely aside, the food is simply delicious. The portions are about 1.5 servings' worth, and the steak set and the shop's atmosphere are both so good that I'd definitely recommend stopping by whenever you're in Seolleung!
