Is there a wait at 6pm on a weekday?

Flat-rate conveyor-belt sushi places aren't really a thing these days, so when I heard there was one near Yeongtong Station charging ₩1,890 per plate, I went to check out Teukbyeolhan Chobap :) I'd always been curious since there's usually a wait, but I finally got the timing right and went on a weekday at 6pm — walked right in, no wait. Every other time I'd passed by there was always a line.

I had my wedding the next day so eating something really heavy felt like it would weigh on my conscience, but not eating meant I'd be hungry, and since I was going to eat anyway I wanted something good — so after a lot of deliberation, I landed on conveyor-belt sushi haha

Inside Teukbyeolhan Chobap there were seats right along the conveyor belt as well as table seating for groups. It was great that at a flat ₩1,890 there was still such a wide variety of sushi, and dishes not on the belt were freshly made to order.

What you get for 1,890 won a plate

The menu at Teukbyeolhan Chobap near Yeongtong Station! Flounder, salmon, yukhoe (raw beef), shrimp and all sorts of other options everywhere. Each plate comes with two pieces, so ₩1,890 gets you plenty to fill up on, and it was cute that even the cider and cola were priced at ₩1,890 to match haha.

Next time I want to try one of every kind. Everything was delicious, but salmon was hands-down my favorite, hehe. The menu is varied and it was even better that things seem to refresh a little each season.

For takeout, there's a great-value lunch option of 10 pieces for ₩9,900 if you order by 11:50, and beyond that there was also

Soju was also ₩5,000, so overall it was great value. They kept refilling the soup too, and since it's conveyor-belt sushi, you get to sit and either order what you want or grab what's passing by — makes eating extra fun :) Fresh sushi and sashimi for ₩1,890 a plate — I think Teukbyeolhan Chobap is going to be my go-to from now on.

Salmon sushi options and how fresh they were

I got to try salmon, salmon steak, salmon buldak (spicy chicken-style) steak, salmon gunkan and more, which was great. Everything came out fresh, so the food quality was solid too :) At ₩1,890 a plate, both the salmon and the flounder come with two pieces each, and the sashimi was fresh and high quality, so I could really eat to my heart's content.

They made whatever I wanted right there at the belt, and the staff were all so friendly, which made the whole meal even more comfortable :)

Fried shrimp and takoyaki to finish

Eating it all like this was so satisfying. That it was the night before my wedding stays between us... For the final dessert-ish round I tried takoyaki and fried shrimp, and the fried shrimp came out freshly fried, warm and crispy — genuinely delicious, top marks.

The verdict after 15 plates, plus parking

They kept adding fresh sushi throughout, and if I asked for something not on the belt they'd make it right away. Taste, freshness, price, friendliness — all satisfying. On my way out they even handed me a parking discount coupon. A great-value, delicious sushi meal and a full, satisfying day :)
