There's one place that always comes up when talking about good restaurants in Dujeong-dong, Cheonan — Donghae Bada Hoetjip. Three of us went again this time. Ever since my first visit, I keep finding myself heading back to this seafood restaurant in Dujeong-dong, so let me write up this revisit in detail.
Is parking easy at Donghae Bada Hoetjip in Dujeong-dong?
When you're looking for a dinner spot in Dujeong-dong, Cheonan, parking is usually the biggest worry, especially when a big group is moving together. But here!! You can relax. The parking lot is huge, so even new drivers can visit without stress. If you're looking for a place with zero parking stress, this is it!

Roomy seating for family get-togethers and work dinners
Inside, there are lots of tables and plenty of room. Every time I visit, I see a lot of groups coming in.

The space is divided into private sections, so I'd highly recommend it for family gatherings or work dinners!

What comes in the sashimi and seafood stew set for 3
We ordered the set menu — sashimi and seafood stew for 3. A generous spread of side dishes gets set out first.

There was cool shrimp-and-seaweed soup, herring, jeon (savory pancakes), beondegi (silkworm pupae), bossam (boiled pork wraps), and salad. The shrimp seaweed soup was great for a spoonful between bites of sashimi.

I loved that we even got to enjoy bossam alongside everything else.
Fresh sashimi, cut by cut
This is a seafood restaurant in Dujeong-dong that always satisfies with fresh sashimi, visit after visit. The set included bluefin tuna, mideoh (squid), flounder, halibut, and halibut belly — a wide variety, and the difference in texture between cuts made it genuinely fun to eat. The bluefin tuna melted smoothly, while the halibut belly was chewy with a rich, savory flavor that kept my chopsticks coming back — my personal favorite.
We wrapped the sashimi in seaweed and dipped it in sesame oil sauce, or dipped it in chogochujang (vinegared chili paste) instead. Even the same sashimi felt completely different eaten this way, and I kept reaching for one more piece.
My kid tried tuna sashimi for the first time that day. Watching her eat it happily made the whole trip worth it. Moms, you know that feeling~

What I love is that everyone at the table can eat sashimi according to their own taste. Since you eat a little bit at a time, Donghae Bada Hoetjip never gets boring, haha. If you want to eat a wide variety of sashimi along with seafood stew or soup, come here. Whoever you bring will compliment the place too.

When I've brought friends here, they always rave about how fresh the sashimi is and how good both the stew and the soup are.
Why we keep going back to Donghae Bada Hoetjip
My first visit was already satisfying, but revisiting this time reminded me exactly why I keep coming back to this place.
- The sashimi is consistently fresh every single visit
- Both the seafood stew and seafood soup are reliably delicious — fun to pick between them each time
- The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables, so it's comfortable even for a big group
- The large parking lot out front means zero parking stress
- A menu lineup that works fine even with kids along

The sashimi is fresh and thick-cut, so you get a satisfying chew as well as a sweet finish afterward. Want to try a variety of sashimi!! Want fresh raw fish!! This is the place~ When you're craving sashimi in Dujeong-dong, Cheonan, Donghae Bada Hoetjip is the best choice too.!! No wonder so many people recommend it~
Hearty spicy seafood stew and fried rice to finish
Just as we were finishing the sashimi, the seafood stew arrived. Always a hard choice — because everything's good, ha. The seafood soup is cool and refreshing, and the seafood stew is spicy and delicious, packed with a wide variety of seafood. Genuinely filling — we got completely full. We finished the stew, then had fried rice too.
The bean sprouts were crisp yet plump, great to grab alongside the seafood. A seafood stew with just bean sprouts can feel lacking, but here it's loaded with roe, milt, squid, octopus, abalone, shrimp, and clams. It's fun to pick through the dish and discover one thing after another~

The flavor was deep without being overly sharp, and the crisp, plump bean sprouts paired well with the distinctly spicy seasoning of the seafood stew.

If you're craving a drink alongside a great seafood stew in Dujeong-dong, definitely come here.
Sashimi and seafood stew alone are filling, but you can't skip the fried rice. The cool shrimp seaweed soup was perfect for cleansing the palate between bites of the spicy stew, and with herring, jeon, beondegi, and bossam all served alongside, the table was truly abundant. Every single side dish here is made with care, which is why anyone you bring will leave impressed.

If you want sashimi and seafood dishes together in Dujeong-dong, Cheonan, or you're looking for a seafood restaurant with plenty of parking and seating, head to Donghae Bada Hoetjip~ This is a recommendation from someone on their Nth visit!!
