Jeju City café near the airport with brioche and tea: Dobana

After lunch, I was looking for a café near Jeju Airport where I could relax, read, and hang out, so I visited Dobana (도바나). With its wide selection of teas and spacious interior, it was a lovely place to take a leisurely break.

When visiting restaurants or cafés near the airport in Jeju, it is often hard to find a place with its own parking lot. Dobana has room for about 10 cars, so I could visit comfortably without worrying about parking.

A spacious interior and varied seating

The interior was incredibly spacious. The white palette and warm wood décor made it feel very neat and inviting. I usually prefer roomy cafés over cramped ones, so I really loved how large this place was.

There was such a huge variety of breads. They all looked so delicious that I wanted to try several, but I had come straight after lunch, so I ordered just one, haha.

There was also a broad tea selection, and individual tea bags were available to buy. It would be great for tea lovers, or as a gift for friends who enjoy tea.

The wooden tables and chairs were comfortable, and there was plenty of space between tables, so it did not feel cramped. It felt open enough for a group conversation, while also seeming nice for taking a break alone with a cup of tea.

There were tables for six people, as well as large tables seating up to eight. It looked like a comfortable option even for families or larger groups.

High chairs were provided too, so visitors with children should be able to use the café comfortably.

A self-service corner on one side was neatly stocked with cold lemon water, hot water, cups, straws, and napkins. It was convenient to use whenever needed, and the Wi-Fi information was posted somewhere easy to see, so it looked good for using a laptop or tablet. During my visit, there was also an event giving a Dobana signature tea bag to customers who wrote a receipt review. Event details may change, so do check the in-store notice when you visit.

There were partitioned seats as well. They felt more private than the other tables, making them a nice choice for a work meeting, quiet work, or reading.

There was also an area displaying a variety of teacups and tea ware, so I took a little look around.

Dalgurimja tea and brioche

That day, I ordered an iced Americano, Dalgurimja, and brioche.

The iced Americano had a slight acidity on the first sip. It was neither too strong nor too light, with an easy-drinking flavor that would suit anyone. I was craving a clean coffee after lunch, and it was exactly what I had hoped for—so good, haha.

I spent a long time deciding which tea to have, but the staff member kindly explained the options. I chose Dalgurimja, which has a flavor similar to pu-erh tea.

I enjoy pu-erh tea regularly, so I chose it right away. Its aroma was not overpowering; it spread gently and was easy to sip slowly. If you normally enjoy pu-erh tea, I recommend trying Dalgurimja too :)

It came with a teapot, teacup, and even a small hourglass. I also loved that they timed the steeping so precisely to bring out the tea's proper flavor.

The brioche was appetizingly baked on the outside, and when I split it open, the inside was fluffy and soft. It was not dry and tasted good on its own, while the soft bread paired beautifully with the Americano.

It also paired well with the gentle Dalgurimja, so it was a bread that went nicely with both coffee and tea. If you are looking for a spacious, tidy café near Jeju Airport or somewhere to talk comfortably with several people, I recommend Dobana. Its parking area is also relatively generous compared with other cafés, making it convenient to visit. Beyond coffee, you can slowly enjoy a variety of teas, and I would like to return next time to try another tea menu. It was a Jeju café that felt comfortable for everything from a quiet tea time to gatherings and work meetings :)
