Mangpo Station Korean BBQ set for 3 with yukhoe: Olheun Gogi Suwon
In short
Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is a premium Korean pork (handon) and wagyu BBQ restaurant a one- to two-minute walk from Exit 6 of Mangpo Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi. On a rainy evening, a family of three ordered the Olheun Pork set, and staff grilled the samgyeopsal and pork neck from start to finish, served with yukhoe (raw beef tartare), steamed egg, and gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi). The set was more than enough food for three, so Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is an easy pick for a family gathering.

We went out for dinner on a rainy day, and everyone in the family was craving meat, so we headed to Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch, known as a Korean BBQ spot near Mangpo Station.

Where is Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch, and what are its hours?
Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is right by the station — just a 1–2 minute walk from Exit 6 of Mangpo Station. It's located at 20 Yeongtong-ro 218beon-gil, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do. As a specialist restaurant dealing in both premium hanwoo and wagyu, it draws a lot of people searching for the Korean BBQ spot near Mangpo Station.

Next to the entrance stood a banner for a new menu item. The golden deungsim-sal, a sirloin cut, was 600g for ₩88,000. It said this cut only yields 1kg per cow, so I thought I'd definitely have to try it next time.
The signboard outside said the restaurant is open until 3am. On Sundays it's until 10pm. It seemed great for solo drinking or group gatherings, and perfect for a late-night get-together.

Can you bring kids? Inside the Olheun Gogi dining room
Right as we walked into Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch, we saw baby chairs stacked neatly, which meant plenty of families with kids come here. Next to them was a sign for non-alcoholic beer and hangover drinks at ₩5,000 each.

The inside was much bigger than I expected. Every table had its own roaster hood, so there was no worry about smoke. Wagyu and premium hanwoo were framed on the walls. Even on a weekday evening, quite a few seats were filled — clearly there's a reason it's known as a Korean BBQ spot near Mangpo Station.

Further inside there were quieter seats set apart. It really looked great for family gatherings or work dinners.

What comes in the Olheun Pork set, plus the gat kimchi
We ordered the Olheun Pork set. First the basic side dishes were laid out — gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi), oi-ji (pickled cucumber), and baek kimchi (white kimchi). The gat kimchi came mixed with perilla leaves and napa cabbage, tangy and crunchy enough that we kept reaching for more. That gat kimchi is genuinely something else — we asked for refills several times.
Then the meat arrived. Thick cuts of samgyeopsal (pork belly) and pork neck went onto the grill, and even the color looked different from usual. Staff grilled everything from start to finish, so we didn't have to touch a thing. They controlled the doneness and cutting timing perfectly, so there was no way to mess it up.

Yukhoe in the set: raw beef tartare dipped in egg yolk
The Olheun Pork set even comes with yukhoe (raw beef tartare). Pine nuts and sesame seeds topped the vivid red beef, with a separate egg yolk on the side. Eating the yukhoe before the meat was cooked made for a really satisfying start.

Once everything was laid out, it was clearly more than enough for three people. At first I wondered if it could really be that much, but by the end we felt like we were about to burst.

Sliced cheese also came out, ready to be grilled. Grilling it together with the meat doubled the savoriness.
The egg yolk comes pre-whisked, ready for dipping the yukhoe.
Dip the yukhoe lightly into the yolk and lift it out — the texture turns wonderfully smooth. There wasn't a hint of fishiness, just pure savoriness.

They give you a separate small plate to serve yourself. Anyone who loves yukhoe will really love this.

Staff-grilled samgyeopsal, steamed egg, and grilled vegetables
The meat comes out grilled to a golden brown. Crisp outside, juicy inside — the juices burst the moment you bite in. My dad usually does the grilling at home, so being able to just sit and eat together here was the best part for me.
Then the steamed egg. Puffed up softly over the rim of the earthenware pot, it was genuinely delicious. Spooning it up between bites of meat made for the perfect palate cleanser.
On one side of the grill, sweet pumpkin and mushrooms cooked together. They brought them out bundled together like this.

With onion and cheese added too, the grill was completely full. Just looking at it was filling.
Lettuce wrap combinations we tried at Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch
We tried a bite of meat with myeong-i namul (wild garlic leaf) on top. A burst of sweetness came through that paired really well.

Melting cheese and wrapping it around the meat is also a treat. The savoriness really came through.

Topped with gat kimchi it's a whole different flavor — spicy and tangy, a perfect match with the meat.
The steamed egg gets scooped onto your small plate like this. Soft and moist, we kept coming back to it as a palate cleanser.
Wrapping it in baek kimchi cut through the richness completely. The pairing really worked.
We also tried cheese with ssamjang (dipping sauce) on top. Salty and savory — this combination was my favorite.

Meat and wasabi on top of baek kimchi is another one I'd recommend. The sharp kick cleaned up the aftertaste nicely.

Is the Olheun Pork set enough for 3 or 4 people?
They re-grilled the pieces we hadn't gotten to earlier, which was such a nice touch. I thought the portion would run short, but my family ate really well. It seemed like it would be plenty even for four people — in that case, ordering rice or a stew on top would probably be enough.
And just like that, the grill was wiped clean. For three of us, that was more than enough to eat comfortably. It was a great place to chat and eat at a relaxed pace, and having on-site parking made things easier too. If you're looking for a Korean BBQ spot near Mangpo Station for a family gathering, I'd recommend this one. Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is my top pick for Korean BBQ near Mangpo Station.
