Gyeongju Bomun café with gugija tea and konjac jelly: Bibibidang
In short
Bibibidang Gyeongju is a premium tea café inside the Uyang Museum at the Hilton in Gyeongju's Bomun Tourist Complex. The order was a gugija (wolfberry) tea set served with black sesame dasik (pressed traditional sweets) plus a green plum ade and seasonal grape konjac jelly set, and staff explained the tea as they poured it. Quiet and unhurried, Bibibidang Gyeongju is an easy place to sit with your own work for thirty minutes.

Where is Bibibidang Gyeongju in Bomun?
Bibibidang Gyeongju is a premium tea café located inside the Uyang Museum at the Hilton Hotel in Gyeongju's Bomun district. Parking was easy since you can just use the Hilton's own parking lot. I came for the café but ended up touring the museum too — worked out even better, haha.

Uyang Museum was running a Snoopy exhibition at the time, but unfortunately we didn't have time to see it. I imagine a lot of people stop by Bibibidang for a cup of tea after visiting the exhibition.
You reach Bibibidang by walking through the gift shop. There were plenty of souvenirs to browse there too — since it was Snoopy exhibition season, there were tons of Snoopy items. The prices weren't cheap though, haha.

What to order from the Bibibidang Gyeongju menu
Bibibidang Gyeongju has a wide range of menu items — in summer it's apparently famous for sweet pumpkin bingsu (shaved ice dessert). There's also a signature item called dawan coffee, a decaf cold brew served in a traditional tea bowl called a dawan.

There was a screen next to the menu board showing how each drink is presented, which made it much easier to decide what to order.

The dessert lineup was just as varied. Being a premium tea café, the desserts looked quite upscale too. I ordered gugija tea, and since it comes with dasik included, I didn't order a separate dessert — we had lunch plans right after this.
Teas and gifts sold in the corner of the café

A corner of Bibibidang had products on display for sale. There were skincare basics like essences and creams too, which matched the café's upscale feel and caught my interest. What I liked most, though, were the premium tea sets and tea forks — the tea forks were so cute.
Is Bibibidang Gyeongju quiet enough to sit and work?

Fitting for a café next to a museum, the interior of Bibibidang Gyeongju was clean and sophisticated. We each worked on our own things for about thirty minutes here, and the café was so quiet and calm that it was great for focusing. Other guests seemed to be reading or working quietly too.
Gugija tea with black sesame dasik, green plum ade with konjac jelly

I ordered the gugija tea (wolfberry tea), which came with black sesame dasik.

Having it all served so beautifully as a set really felt like it was made with care, which made me feel good as the one receiving it. Staff also explained the gugija tea to me, which let me appreciate what I was drinking even more. The black sesame dasik wasn't too sweet and paired really well with the tea — genuinely delicious.

My husband ordered the green plum ade with seasonal konjac jelly set,

The seasonal konjac jelly was grape-flavored, and it was probably the bounciest, chewiest konjac jelly I've ever had. The fork that came with it had such a funny shape that I took a photo of it — it looked just like a tree branch, haha. Even little details like the fork showed off their sense of style, which was fun.
Who is Bibibidang Gyeongju best for?
- Anyone visiting an exhibition at Uyang Museum
- Guests staying at the Hilton Hotel
- Anyone who wants to enjoy premium tea and dasik in a relaxed space
- Anyone looking for a good café in Gyeongju's Bomun district
I really want to recommend Bibibidang, this Gyeongju café.
