Big-screen bar in Jeonpo-dong, Busan: pork trotters at Ganbame

In short

Ganbame is a bar in Jeonpo-dong, Busan, a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station. The visit included the day's limited domestic pork trotters (27,900 won), kaya butter toast (13,900 won), and draft beer — the trotters came fully deboned and tender, and the toast arrived with ice cream for a built-in dessert. With a big screen playing films or baseball games and a soft, moody interior, it works equally well for a date night or a game-day drink in Jeonpo-dong.

Getting There from Jeonpo Station, and Parking?

The way from Jeonpo Station Exit 8 to Ganbame

Ganbame, this Jeonpo restaurant-bar, sits about a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station toward the Jeonpo intersection. It's on the alley where all the hottest Jeonpo-dong restaurants and bars are clustered these days.

Alley in Jeonpo-dong lined with bars

Since it's a bar, there's no dedicated parking space.

Outside Ganbame's building, no parking space

Just looking from outside, the vibe spilling out already got my heart racing! The soft lighting looked so atmospheric.

I could check the menu right at the entrance. So many appealing items, so I went in.

Interior and Atmosphere

Here's the inside of Ganbame, a great Jeonpo-dong date spot.

Just like from outside, the atmosphere was so, so pretty. The calm, soft-toned interior gave off a feeling like the drinks would go down smoothly even without any anju (bar snacks)!

Baseball and Movies on the Big Screen

There's a big screen, so there's never a dull moment. They had the movie 'Spring Days' with Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Young-ae playing, and I honestly lost track of time just watching Lee Young-ae's face haha.

Since it has a big screen, this Jeonpo bar is also famous as a Jeonpo-dong baseball bar. Normally you can enjoy these mood-filled visuals, and when there's a game on, you can watch it with a beer — a great Jeonpo-dong date bar either way.

What's on the Menu?

Here's the menu at Ganbame, this Jeonpo-dong restaurant-bar. Signature items included hotpot dishes like mala hotpot, beef hotpot, and spicy daechang-sundae hotpot, plus tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes). There was also pork trotters, yukhoe (beef tartare), yukhoe-mukeunji-mari, perilla cream pasta, tofu kimchi, mandu-egg soup, and much more — a huge, wide-ranging menu. And there was even more beyond that. At a place like this, you're bound to find at least one dish you love!

Disposable apron and tea set on the table

They thoughtfully gave us disposable aprons too. I liked that instead of plain water, it was a cool tea.

Basic anju of silken tofu topped with bonito flakes

The basic anju was soft silken tofu topped with bonito flakes. Perfect gentle start before the main dish arrived.

Chilled draft beer served first

They brought the draft beer out quickly.

I love lemon, so I always order it if it's on the menu — and lucky for me, there was lemon, so I dropped it right into my beer.

Day-Limited Domestic Pork Trotters — ₩27,900

The trotters got a round of applause just for showing up — especially the kimchi, torn into whole strands, which looked so delicious. The trotters were glossy and glistening, and even though the portion looked big, there wasn't a single bone with nothing to eat — it came out fully deboned.

On the side came stir-fried shredded cabbage. This was sweet and nutty and so good!

Three sauces came with it: ssamjang, whole grain mustard, and wasabi.

Most importantly, the trotters were incredibly tender! Better than a lot of dedicated trotter restaurants, honestly. This place is an anju gem...

Three sauces: ssamjang, whole grain mustard, and wasabi

The ratio of lean meat was just right, easy to eat, and above all, the texture was truly soft and tender!

The kimchi was crunchy with a slightly tangy edge, and wrapping it around the trotters was incredibly delicious...!

Kaya Butter Toast — ₩13,900

Kaya butter toast served with ice cream

It seemed like a slightly odd pairing with the trotters, but I had to secure my carbs, so I ordered the kaya butter toast, which comes with ice cream.

But wait, what if I hadn't ordered this...! It looks plain, but it's genuinely, genuinely delicious. A flavor that simply can't miss. Crisply toasted bread with butter, ice cream, and kaya jam — a combination everyone can't help but love.

Dipping it deep into the sweet ice cream took care of dessert completely! Honestly, I wanted everyone to order their own haha.

On the way out, I noticed Dongbaekjeon local currency was also accepted.

Wrap-Up

With its atmospheric interior, wide range of anju, and big screen, Ganbame works great whether you're visiting as a Jeonpo baseball bar or looking for the perfect Jeonpo-dong date spot! Recommended ♡
