What the tent spots and artificial grass at TAGE look like, and what there is to play

Walking into TAGE Indoor Camping Hongdae Main Branch, green artificial grass and moody tents unfold in front of you, and it genuinely feels like arriving at a campsite. Each tent isn't just a cozy hangout spot — it's fully stocked with a Nintendo Switch, retro game consoles, and even a karaoke machine.

Delivery food and corkage rules at TAGE

TAGE Indoor Camping basically provides its own meat menu, so there's a rule that you can't bring in outside meat. Instead, ordering whatever delivery food you want and eating it inside the tent is completely allowed.

The store sells soju, beer, whiskey, wine and more directly, so you can just buy whatever suits your mood — great. Wine or spirits can also be brought in for corkage at ₩15,000 per table, which is amazing for setting the mood on an anniversary.

The grilled meat and chadol doenjang jjigae (beef brisket soybean paste stew)

Grilling the provided meat golden brown on the pan filled the air with that same savory smell you get at an actual campsite — so good. The char-dol dwenjang jjigae (beef brisket soybean paste stew) I added as a side had loads of beef brisket in it and completely cut through the richness of the meat.

There's also an old-style kimchi jjigae on the menu, so depending on your mood you can pair it with a hot, spicy soup for a truly perfect combo. Tilting back a glass of wine over good food inside the tent made me feel like I'd escaped to a summer getaway right in the middle of the city — genuinely happy.

How private TAGE feels, and tips for a comfortable visit

Each spot and tent area is well divided and independent, so it's a really ideal place to enjoy private time without other people's eyes on you. Even though it's an indoor space, the ventilation system runs very well, so there's no worry about smoke or smell while grilling meat — you can enjoy that comfortable, cozy camping mood without any hassle.

  • Each spot runs on a different 30-minute schedule, so it's recommended to check the schedule and book ahead before visiting
  • After eating, all you need to do is sort out delivery containers and trash yourself at the recycling area set up in the store

Being able to focus purely on relaxing and having fun in the middle of the city, without the hassle of packing camping gear, was extremely satisfying.
