Jung-dong Station hair salon in Haeundae: premium root dye at Drapore
In short
Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch is a hair salon on the first floor of Central Medi Tower, right in front of Jung-dong Station Exit 7 in Haeundae, Busan. Black roots had grown back just two weeks after coloring, so this visit was a root touch-up with the premium dye option that does less damage, finished with ear caps and scalp protection spray so there was no scalp staining and no stinging. Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch suits anyone who wants a quiet, no-small-talk salon right by the station.

I went looking for a place to get my roots touched up. I've been a bit lazy lately so I just wanted a salon right at the station, and it turned out there was one in the building right in front of Haeundae Jung-dong Station. It's even on the first floor so the location is great, and the stylist has years of experience so the quality is solid too — nothing more to ask for, so I just booked right away.
How to get to Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch
Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch is right in front of Haeundae Jung-dong Station, on the first floor of Central Medi Tower. Just come out Exit 7 (the Emart side!!!).
Being on the first floor made things so convenient. There's a collab of building parking plus a public parking lot too. Seems like they support parking if you park in the building????? There's also an Olive Young right next door, so the location is honestly the best.

My hair situation right now, ㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷ ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ. I had dyed it, but black roots grew in and it looked so bad that I came in for a root touch-up. Growing back like this in just two weeks — root touch-ups are the most annoying part ㅠㅠㅠ. The place I picked was this Haeundae Jung-dong Station hair salon.

My seat looked like this.

What the premium dye root touch-up is like
Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch has several stylists and you can request one when booking. Booking through Naver Reservation was convenient. My stylist was named Yul. There were different dye options, and since I hate having my hair damaged, I specifically booked the premium dye service.

She also protected my ears with ear caps, something other salons hadn't done for me — thanks to that, nothing got on them.

She even sprayed on scalp protection spray. That's the moment it really hit me — this is what "premium" means. Dye chemicals can be pretty harsh and I always worry about the effect on my scalp, but having each step protected like this from the start made me feel like the damage would definitely be much less.
She applied the dye carefully and thoroughly, and maybe because she's such a veteran, it didn't take long at all — it was over before I got bored.

They also brought out tea and light snacks partway through. There's Wi-Fi too, go go go!
Root dye before and after: any scalp staining?
Here are the results of the root touch-up at Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch — left is before, right is after. The black roots that had grown in were covered cleanly, and another thing I loved was that there was no staining left on my scalp at all.

And there was no scalp irritation either. Usually after going to a salon I break out in little bumps, but I had none of that this time.

Even in bright light, it looked like this. The left side has a somewhat messy feel, while the right side has the tone matched perfectly and clean, so the root touch-up really did its job. I think it's definitely better to get your roots touched up every two to three weeks once they start growing in.
Is Drapore Haeundae Jung-dong Branch worth a visit?
Drapore has several branches, but the Haeundae Jung-dong location was great because there was no small talk at all — being able to get the service done in a relaxed atmosphere was the biggest advantage.
On top of that, the prices are reasonable and they offer premium dye, so it's a great spot for anyone who doesn't want their hair damaged. Being on the first floor plus having parking makes it especially convenient — good stuff.
