The front of Bacha Jeongja opens up wide with glass, so the indoor space flows naturally into the terrace seating.🌿 It's a great spot to enjoy a drink in the open air while looking out at the Jeongja-dong café street.

Once the sun goes down, soft lighting along the top of the terrace comes on, bringing out that distinct outdoor-seating mood. I sat indoors this time, but next time I definitely want to grab this terrace seat.

The Naver review event

After eating, writing a Naver receipt review reportedly gets you a free mini watermelon punch, which suits the summer season well. Cool and sweet, it seemed like a nice palate cleanser after a meal.

Joining wasn't complicated either. You just leave a 5-star Naver receipt review with a photo or video of the store, including the suggested keywords, haha.

The mala chadol jjamppong soup (₩25,000) is a broth dish with a deep, tingling mala spice and a rich spicy soup🔥

It started bubbling quickly, and the mala aroma that spread through it was subtle rather than overwhelming — just right, and delicious.

It comes loaded with bok choy, bean sprouts, and enoki mushrooms, and the savory fat from the chadol (beef brisket) softens the spiciness of the broth.

There's also udon noodles to add, and the spicy broth soaks into the noodles so well that it makes for a filling dish.

In particular, the bok choy kept its crunchy texture, and the chadol came in generous chunks, which made it even more satisfying.

Mozzarella chili shrimp (22,000 won)

The mozzarella chili shrimp (₩22,000) is a dish where shrimp topped with spicy hot chili sauce meets soft mozzarella cheese🍤

Lifting the cheese along with the shrimp made it stretch visibly, so it looked great even before I took a bite.

Eating the plump shrimp together with the chewy, stretchy cheese made for a fun texture, and the chili sauce kept me reaching for more.

The fries stayed crispy even with a bit of cream sauce soaked in, so I kept picking at them too.
