Late lunch with parents at Famous Benny, Gwangalli brunch café
In short
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a brunch café in Suyeong, Busan open from 8am. Visiting for a late lunch with her parents, the writer ordered house salad, grilled mushroom toast, Egg in Hell, and bacon egg roll, paying ₩4,000 for two hours at the nearby Millak Sealand public parking lot since the café has no dedicated parking. The bright second floor made for a quiet, relaxing brunch spot.

I went out to Gwangalli with my parents and stopped here for a late lunch! Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch — walkable from Gwangalli itself, which is such a plus. Let's get into the honest review.

Where to park near Famous Benny in Gwangalli
Famous Benny doesn't have its own parking lot! But you can use the nearby Millak Sealand Public Parking Lot (181-41 Millak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan) or Taeyang Officetel Parking (70 Millakbondong-ro 11beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan). We used Millak Sealand Public Parking Lot.

Here's the parking fee sign at Millak Sealand market public parking lot! We were there about 2 hours and paid around ₩4,000.

It's about a 5-minute walk from the parking lot to Famous Benny! It doesn't really feel like a café — more like a stylish restaurant. Also, dogs are welcome here. Just keep basic etiquette in mind!

Outside there are also simple tables where you can just grab a coffee.

First and second floor seating, and the scent of fresh flowers
All of Famous Benny's diffusers seem to be fresh-flower scented! When I visited the Yangsan branch, the fresh flower scent was so nice, and it was the same here~ The first floor has these round tables!

And here too they had real fresh flowers on display! Maybe that's a signature of this place? There's something romantic about actually maintaining and displaying fresh flowers like this. Such a nice touch for a brunch café!

There were 2-tops lined up side by side, plus baby chairs. They also sell coffee beans separately here.

Going up to the second floor, there were mostly 4-tops.

And with all that natural light coming in, it was such a nice spot to enjoy a leisurely brunch.

On the second floor there's a water dispenser, small plates, tissues, napkins, and blankets.

The menu cover has photos of each dish in its own colors — makes you crave dessert even more, right?

What three of us ordered — brunch menu and prices
We came for a late lunch, so the three of us ordered house salad ₩12,000, grilled mushroom toast ₩15,000, Egg in Hell (shakshuka) ₩16,000, and bacon egg roll ₩9,000! This café is clearly serious about brunch. Maybe that's why it opens as early as 8am. You could definitely stop by for a relaxed coffee before work.

There was also an explanation about the coffee beans. Once you order, the staff bring everything out for you.

House salad ₩12,000
The house salad! This is my second visit to Famous Benny, and that distinct sauce really suits my taste! The white thing that looks like cheese is actually a poached egg lol. I got fooled thinking it was cheese again.

There's definitely a hint of cinnamon, but it's not overpowering — tangy-sweet with a sauce flavor you won't find in a store-bought bottle! I'm normally not a big salad person, but you have to order the salad here.

Grilled mushroom toast ₩15,000
Grilled mushroom toast! They topped this one with pretty flowers too~ The mushrooms tasted like they'd been braised in sweet soy sauce, and eaten with the toast it was sweet and savory — I slurped it right down.

Why did the bread disappear so fast? By the end there were so many mushrooms left we had to eat them separately lol — it was like a side dish for rice.

Egg in Hell (shakshuka) ₩16,000
And my favorite, shakshuka!!! This one is a bit heavily seasoned, but honestly that made it even more delicious...

We piled the sauce generously onto the baguette. There were pine nuts too, which gave it good texture — a must-order for anyone who loves tomato sauce.

Bacon egg roll ₩9,000
And the bacon egg roll! The sauce on this one is a bit spicy — see that orange sauce? Brunch can get greasy after a while, but this one kind of wiped that feeling away! Popping the yolk of the soft-boiled egg made it moist and slightly spicy — totally addictive lol.
Why I'd recommend this to Gwangalli travelers
I'd recommend this place to any Gwangalli traveler who wants to eat brunch quietly in a clean, sunlit space. Every dish felt carefully made, and the flavors weren't the usual — I was really satisfied! Now I want to check out another Famous Benny location.
