Gwangalli outdoor dog-friendly brunch with mushroom add-on: Famous

On a precious weekend off, I went for a sunrise run, took my dog Poby for a walk, and then headed straight to this Gwangalli brunch café I'd been dying to try!

The building was gorgeous from the outside! Maps sent me the wrong way so I circled around for a bit haha. As you can see, it's a whole two-story building! Famous Benny is a brunch café built around Australian-style brunch. It opens early in the morning so you can enjoy it at a much more relaxed pace haha. This place is famous as a Gwangalli brunch spot! Let me show you the first floor first.

What's the first-floor vibe like?

I was surprised how spotless it was, and then even more surprised because one of the staff turned out to be a former coworker and friend of mine haha. The first floor is a bit quieter! Feels good for solo visits or pairs : )

The restroom is also on the first floor, indoors! Super clean 🌟

Famous Benny is apparently also known for its drip coffee! You can choose from 3 kinds of beans! I still don't really know drip coffee flavors well, so I went with my usual iced Americano..!!!

Up to the second floor, outdoor seats, and even baby chairs

Heading up to the second floor, Poby surprisingly bounded up the stairs excitedly haha. My dog is a mystery even to me sometimes.

The second floor was bigger than I expected, and it was packed! And it was still morning..!!! Guess I was just the last one to find out about this Gwangalli brunch spot 😐💦💦

They even have baby chairs, so you can bring your little one comfortably too haha!!

Since I came straight from our walk, I didn't have a carrier bag with me, so Poby and I sat outdoors : ) (They said it's fine to be seated without a carrier bag!) The weather was so pleasantly cool that day, perfect for outdoor seating haha~~!

How was The Famous Benny with extra grilled mushrooms?

I just added mushrooms and look at this portion...? I love it so much 〰️🤎🤎🤎

And the iced Americano!! It's on the low-acidity side, totally my style!

And now the main event I'd been waiting for!!! Croissant, bacon, poached egg and more — doesn't it look amazing haha. It normally comes with avocado too, but I don't eat it so I asked for it to be left out! 🤗

I thought it was garlic but it turned out to be macadamia nuts haha!! First time I realized macadamia nuts could taste this good..!

Looking at this, can you tell how much mushroom there is haha? If you love mushrooms, I totally recommend adding them 👍🏻

I usually prefer sourdough over croissant, but this brunch changed my mind?! This is seriously a great Gwangalli brunch spot. The portion is huge, and the added mushrooms paired perfectly with everything! Especially the macadamia 💯👏🏻

And Poby got a treat too! Haha, felt bad eating alone, so we shared something tasty together 💓

Every passerby kept saying how cute Poby was, so I had to take him out for a photo too, and he really is so cute haha. Looks like a stuffed toy ㅠㅠ (his expression turned sour once I stepped a bit away haha)

Would I go back?

I'd give Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch a definite 100% chance of a repeat visit, and everything was delicious!
