Songnidan-gil steak restaurant with tenderloin and tartare: Sekaro
In short
Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch is an all-you-can-eat steak restaurant on Songi-ro 17-gil, along Seoul's Songnidan-gil in Songpa. On the World Steak Course (68,000 won), all 12 steaks and 10 side dishes are unlimited, and this visit covered tenderloin, hwangje-galbisal (premium rib finger cut), yukhoe (beef tartare) with kimbugak, tomato stew, polpo salad and bolognese pasta. The beef at Sekaro had no gamey smell and stayed juicy, closer to a dedicated steak house than a typical buffet.

Of all the steak restaurants I've been to recently — actually, of all the steak restaurants I've ever been to — Sekaro Songpa Main Branch might be the best value for money.

A great spot for a regular outing, and just as good for an anniversary or special day.
Sekaro Steak Songpa: parking, reservations and course prices
Sekaro Songpa Main Branch has a free surface parking lot behind the building. If it's full, there's paid parking at the Lotte Super Garak branch across the street.
You can reserve through Naver or Catch Table.
Sekaro is an all-you-can-eat steak restaurant, and you choose one of the following three courses (no mixing between courses):
- 3 steaks + unlimited pasta and salad: ₩32,000
- 6 steaks + unlimited pasta and salad: ₩48,000
- 12 steaks + 10 dishes, all unlimited: ₩68,000
There's no fancy table setting — just the basic whole grain mustard and cream sauce provided, and everything else is ordered through the tablet.

What comes with the 68,000-won World Steak Course: 12 cuts
The course I had that day was the World Steak Course, which makes every single dish and steak at Sekaro unlimited. Time limit: 90 minutes to order, 120 minutes to eat.
When you select the course on the tablet at your table, they show you the cuts of meat available that day.

The 12 steak options are: sirloin, flat iron (bucheotsal), flat iron demi-glace, skirt steak, hwangje-galbisal (premium rib fingertip), hwangje-galbisal soy sauce, hanging tender (tosisal), hanging tender bolognese, Korean beef tongue, top blade (salchisal), top blade garlic mayo teriyaki, and beef tongue garlic salt steak. I'll say it again — all these steaks are unlimited. I genuinely wonder if the owner is making any money off this...
For our first order we got one of everything except the seasoned steak and the beef tongue. Beef tongue is... still a bit much for me haha.
Look at all that glistening fat, it looks so savory. Honestly, given how cheap it was, I wasn't expecting much.

The kitchen grills every steak to the doneness that suits that particular cut. They cook it to the tastiest doneness for you, so no need to worry.

Is the beef quality good for an all-you-can-eat steak place?
I'm generally not a fan of all-you-can-eat beef or pork places because I've rarely found one with decent quality — I've had food poisoning from these places more than once, ugh. But Sekaro genuinely had quality on par with a dedicated steak restaurant. Zero gamey smell, juicy and tender. I immediately put in the next order.

Best cuts at Sekaro: tenderloin and hwangje-galbisal
The two best things I ate that day were the tenderloin and the hwangje-galbisal. Tenderloin needs no introduction — getting to eat that pricey cut unlimited, and such good quality at that, was the ultimate satisfaction.
Hwangje-galbisal is the richest and most tender premium cut among rib fingertip meats, with a softer, more savory texture than regular short rib meat. If you go to Sekaro, I recommend eating all the unseasoned steaks first and saving the seasoned steaks for the end.

The seasoned steaks have a sweet-and-salty appeal, so definitely order them if you're coming with kids. Of course adults will enjoy them too — they're not too intense on the palate and offer a different kind of appeal from regular steak, worth trying.
Beef tartare, tomato stew and polpo salad are unlimited too
On the World Steak Course, beyond the 12 steaks above, you also get unlimited access to 2 soups, 2 salads, 3 pasta/risotto dishes, and 5 other side dishes.

I started with the yukhoe (beef tartare) with kimbugak (fried seaweed chips) — so savory. It was almost too good to be eating unlimited. Then I ordered the tomato stew and corn soup too!

Other reviews kept recommending the tomato stew, so I had high expectations — and sure enough, people had good reason to praise it.
The polpo salad also comes highly recommended. It's usually sold as a standalone dish elsewhere, but at Sekaro you can just eat it unlimited...!!!!!! And there are 2 kinds of ade and 1 kind of beer that are also unlimited. Plus salad and mashed potato.

The bolognese pasta is also recommended. Bolognese pasta sometimes has a gamey off-smell that makes me avoid it, but Sekaro's version was just amazing.

Inside Sekaro Steak Songpa: mood, bar seats and private rooms
The interior of Sekaro Songpa Main Branch has bar tables and private rooms. If you're coming as a family or a group, I recommend reserving ahead and using a room.
The retro yet calm atmosphere seemed to make the food taste even better.
Which Sekaro course should you order?
I saw a lot of groups of guys eating here too, and honestly it makes sense — you can eat unlimited steak starting from just around ₩30,000! But personally, I'd recommend the World Steak course, where every single dish and steak is unlimited. Above all, the staff were so kind — that wraps up my Sekaro review!
