This place kept showing up on my Instagram reels lately, so I got curious about how good it could possibly be. I went with my partner for a date, wanting to eat good beef somewhere with a nice atmosphere, and the conclusion is — I'm veeery satisfied 💗 In this upscale setting, the chef grills a variety of steaks and dishes right in front of you, unlimited refills included, making it perfect not just for dates but for blind dates or anniversaries too!

Japanese-style premium steak grilled by the chef at Sekaro Steak
Sekaro Steak isn't your typical all-you-can-eat meat place — it's a Japanese-style premium steak restaurant. You don't grill the meat yourself; the chef cooks each cut to the right doneness and brings it straight to your table, so there's no smoke smell on your clothes and no scrambling to grill. You can just relax, chat, and enjoy each course as it comes — I'd definitely recommend this as a Songpa date spot!

A 5 p.m. reservation: bar counter and curtained seats
We booked in advance through Catch Table for 5 p.m.! Since it was a bit early for dinner, the restaurant wasn't crowded, so we could take photos comfortably and enjoy the meal at our own pace. The plates, utensils and glasses were all neatly set beforehand, which made us feel really taken care of ♡
We sat at the bar table facing the chef, so we got to watch the steaks being cooked up close~ Having it grilled right before our eyes made it fun to watch too.
Further inside there were curtained tables and comfy sofa seats too. It's great for a cozy date between couples, but also perfect for blind dates, anniversaries, or family gatherings that call for something a bit more special. The whole vibe was quiet and calm, great for talking while eating, and it really felt like a proper restaurant. So glad we booked the 5 p.m. slot~ Let's start this relaxed steak date in a fancy atmosphere!

The basic steak isn't served automatically! As soon as you sit down, you need to quickly order the steaks and side dishes you want from the tablet. The screen shows the remaining ordering time in red at the top, so you can always check how much time is left. Whatever you order, the chef cooks it immediately and brings it right to your table, so all we had to do was sit back and eat happily :)
The World Steak course lets you sample a wide range of cuts, from premium Korean beef tongue to tenderloin, sirloin, striploin, flat iron steak, top blade, and galbisal (rib finger meat). Curious what's on the World Steak menu? I filmed the whole thing for you! Take a look at all the steak types, dishes and sides before you order~

How much steak to order, and the best order to eat it in
One order of steak gets you one piece, roughly 50–80g depending on the cut. Adjust the quantity based on your group size and appetite. Rather than ordering a ton right away, I'd recommend trying a bit of each cut first, then ordering more of whatever suits your taste ✨️
Cuts like top blade steak or premium Korean beef tongue steak, which you don't usually get to try, were easy to pick thanks to photos and descriptions on the tablet. Along with steaks, you also need to order dishes, side dishes and sauces directly through the tablet, like the octopus potato salad. The staff's tip for the best way to eat: start with just salt to taste the meat's natural flavor, then move on to sauces that suit your palate! Alright~ let's start the feast 💗
Everything we ordered at Sekaro Steak
World Steak 68,000 won × 2

After ordering, the staff brought out a gorgeous platter showing off the different cuts of beef. Seeing all that beautiful marbling at once, it was hard to believe this was an all-you-can-eat place — the freshness and quality looked excellent!!! With flowers and decoration added, it was such a flashy presentation that I took a bunch of photos before the meat was even cooked~ This kind of special performance really set the mood for an anniversary date ❤️
Each table had whole peppercorns, salt and bottled water neatly provided, so we could use as much as we needed. Sprinkling on peppercorns and salt to taste really brought out even more of the steak's flavor.
Soft, mild mozzarella cheese with fresh vegetables, yum! A nice light bite before the steaks arrived.
Cute name, right — bbolppo (octopus potato salad) +_+ Fluffy, soft potato salad with chewy octopus mixed in — fun texture and salty-savory flavor.

Premium Korean beef tongue steak
Wow~ getting to enjoy Korean beef tongue, which isn't easy to find normally, on an all-you-can-eat menu! The outside was seared golden and nutty, chewy with each bite and full of deep meaty flavor. It reminded me a bit of the crisp-chewy texture of pork jowl. Paired with wasabi, it got an extra spicy kick that made it even more delicious~

Unlimited creamy draft beer and guava ade
Creamy draft beer and guava ade, also unlimited!! If you don't drink, the sweet and refreshing guava ade is a great option! Having unlimited drinks too meant we could order freely without worrying about it. One tip for the sweet-tangy guava ade — the sweet syrup settles at the bottom, so stir well before drinking!

How is the color so gorgeous 💗 The flat iron steak was mild yet had that distinct rich beefy flavor! Delicious as is, but adding whole grain mustard gives it a tangy, different twist.

Emperor galbisal and sirloin steak
Galbisal (rib finger meat) had a chewy yet slightly crunchy texture, kind of like biting near the bone of a rib. And the sirloin — need I say more~ its moist, tender texture is just the charm.

Chewy yet tender beef tongue steak topped with a spicy, fragrant garlic sauce. The more you chew, the more the garlic flavor cuts through any richness — a total standout dish. Since it's such a rare cut to try, I enjoyed it even more 💗

Tenderloin or sirloin: which cut won?
Tenderloin is lean, mild, and has that fine-grained tender bite that's so appealing! Sirloin, with its right amount of fat, had a deeper juiciness and nuttier flavor. I usually think tenderloin is more tender, but that day the sirloin was so soft and moist! My friend called sirloin her top pick out of everything we tried. If you like rich meaty flavor and soft texture, go for the sirloin ✨️ Some things really are the best for a reason~
Fluffy, soft potatoes that melt in your mouth~ Delicious just scooped up plain, but topping it with steak and sauce doubled the softness!

Creamy mentaiko pasta and manjo cream pasta
Wait, I thought this was just a steak place, but it's a pasta place too!? The springy noodles were evenly coated in nutty oil and salty mentaiko (seasoned pollock roe), and the savory flavor was absolutely amazing!!! Plump shrimp, broccoli, cherry tomatoes and olives packed in too, making every bite fun to chew! Not greasy at all, just a hint of spice — I devoured this.
The manjo cream pasta had chewy beef tongue mixed into a rich, nutty cream sauce! The soft noodles paired with the slightly crunchy beef tongue made for a great texture, and it went so well with the savory cream sauce. It has a distinct charm different from a regular cream pasta — definitely worth trying!!

Three seasoned steaks: soy sauce, garlic mayo and demi-glace
We started with plain salted steaks to taste the meat's natural flavor and richness, then moved on to the seasoned versions — soy sauce, garlic mayonnaise, and demi-glace — for even more variety.

Outside charred, one-tier galbisal soy sauce steak!!! The salty-sweet soy sauce soaked moistly into the meat for incredible savoriness! Such a familiar seasoning that anyone can enjoy — it honestly made me crave rice~
Melt-in-your-mouth striploin with nutty garlic mayonnaise sauce~ the flavor totally popped! The flat iron steak, mild but with that distinct rich beefy flavor, was already delicious plain, but pairing it with the sweet, deep demi-glace sauce gave it a whole different charm~
We wrapped things up neatly with just sirloin steak, my friend's top pick~!

Nutty juices, tender texture — perfect. We tried lots of different cuts, but you've got to eat your favorite once more, right, no regrets? Such a happy steak feast >.<
Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and a Mexican-style minced beef dish
Vivid red color, so fresh looking! The yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) was soft and moist with a savory seasoning that hit just right. Paired with fried seaweed chips, the crispy texture combined with the nutty saltiness was just perfect~

A Mexican-style dish made by simmering minced meat richly in tomato sauce. It had that familiar sweet-and-tangy flavor like meatball sauce, with a subtle spiciness — so savory! Scooped onto crispy potato chips, the soft meat and crunchy chip combo was perfect. Also a great side for cold draft beer ✨️
Unlimited draft beer too — how could I resist~?ㅋㅋㅋㅎㅋㅎ I even left the car at home so I could properly enjoy the beer, hehe.

Pudding for dessert
You know dessert stomach is a separate stomach, right, even after stuffing yourself with steak? ㅎ.ㅎ The cool, jiggly pudding was sweet and smooth, an absolutely perfect way to end the meal ♡ The fruit inside was delicious too! It was so good I ate 4 of them by myself, but that's a secret ㅋㅎㅋㅎㅋㅎ
Is Sekaro Steak Songpa a good anniversary date spot?
I got curious after seeing it pop up so often on Instagram reels, and after actually visiting, I get why it's so popular~! It's not just about the atmosphere — the chef grills everything for you, the beef quality was excellent, and we got to enjoy plenty of steaks, pasta, various dishes, plus unlimited draft beer and ade. Truly satisfying.
Not having to grill the meat yourself means you can focus on conversation, and the upscale atmosphere makes it perfect for a Songpa date, blind date, or anniversary ✨️ If you want great atmosphere, taste, and something special all together, I'd recommend Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch. Let's come back again for our next anniversary 💗
