I went to Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch, a Songpa all-you-can-eat steak spot. You get to pick only the best cuts of quality steak, plus a huge variety of dishes rivaling a world buffet, along with unlimited draft beer and ade — all in a great-atmosphere Songpa date restaurant.

Hi everyone~ this is rookie blogger Matdoriyam~ We wanted to set a nice mood on our weekend date by cutting into some steak, but... trying to get both good steak and good atmosphere gets pricey ㅠㅜ... My partner isn't dieting and eats a LOT, so after a steak dinner he'd come home and boil two packs of ramyeon (okay, two 'diet' dried noodle packs, but still... c'mon...) — it broke my heart. But!! There's a place in Songpa for exactly that~!!?

The steaks come out freshly grilled right after you order, so they're hot and juicy, and the pasta and Sekaro's own signature pulpo dish were also so good that we ate our fill and left completely satisfied — let's check it out through this post~

Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch is super close, just 200 meters from Ogeum Station Exit 6~ You can park easily in the lot behind the building, and it's fun checking out the little props displayed in the windows~

Which passes can you choose at Sekaro Steak Songpa?

Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch works on a pass-order system. There's a range of menu options — if you don't eat much, go for the Steak Set~ for a reasonable weekday lunch, try the Sekaro Classic~ for a hearty helping of the signature menu, go Sekaro All-You-Can-Eat~ and for everything — variety dishes plus all the steak — the World Steak All-You-Can-Eat has it all!!!

We got a peek at the kitchen bustling with prep before opening, and the counter seats — where you can watch and hear the cooking happen — already had plates set out, and soon the place filled up with guests~

Private room and table seating at Sekaro Steak

Past a stylishly decorated hallway~ there's a private room with a Western-restaurant-style interior, convenient for a Songpa date or a private dining setup~ Family guests seemed to prefer this side — everyone fit right in~

We sat right in the middle of the table seating area, which was a great spot both for watching the kitchen and for enjoying the food~

How ordering works: pick only the cuts you want

At Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch you order via kiosk, choosing exactly the cuts you want. It walks you through the usage-time info first, and the key thing is — unlike a churrasco where you have to wait through cuts you don't want, there's no 'basic steak' rotation here, you just pick exactly what you want~ honestly, even better~

Once these three pass options show up on the kiosk, you pick one to order, and then the available menu on the kiosk changes depending on which pass you chose!!!

We ordered the World Steak pass so we could try a bit of everything~

Today's order — World Steak pass 6.8 × 2

Staff first explained each cut before we started ordering~ and once ordered, we could freely use every menu item unlocked by our pass~

World buffet dishes and ades at Sekaro Steak

First we lightly(?) enjoyed a variety of world buffet dishes — the appeal is that staff pick out just the delicious bits from various countries' dishes and serve them fresh right away~

First up: yuzu ade and guava ade. Made with a sparkling water base, not too sweet, with the aroma and flavor of yuzu and guava coming through nicely — great to sip on throughout the meal.

White kimchi, jalapeños, wasabi, and other sides for enjoying the steak came out, along with a tomato beef stew. The stew, packed with finely chopped beef, had an explosive savory depth, and the beef was so tender it practically melted on the tongue(?) — a great starter.

Sirloin cap, premium beef tongue and the signature pulpo

Soon after, our ordered sirloin cap steak and premium beef tongue steak arrived, along with pulpo and coleslaw. True to its reputation as one of Sekaro's signature dishes, the pulpo is a potato salad loaded with chewy octopus — great alongside steak or as a beer snack~ The coleslaw made the steak taste even better~

So... the steak came out as two small pieces... and honestly, that's on us — we didn't read the menu carefully enough. Other tables clearly knew the ropes and ordered bowls piled high. Since it's a World Steak buffet format where you sample your chosen cuts in small portions, if you want to eat a lot, you just order multiple units of the same cut~

The sirloin cap had such a rich beefy flavor paired with savory fat — really delightful. Eating it with the warm mashed potatoes was great too~

The premium beef tongue steak, true to beef tongue form, had a texture different from regular meat cuts — dense and fine-grained like organ meat, chewy yet fluffy to bite into — a fun, new flavor experience~

Beef tartare and a second round of steak

Having learned our lesson, we started ordering ×2 of whatever cuts we wanted~

While waiting for the steak to grill, we also ordered beef tartare — perfectly moist and chewy tartare tossed in delicious sauce, topped with cheese, served with fried seaweed chips. Eating it together with the chips gave us amazing texture and flavor, so good we ordered it again~

Then our second round of steak arrived~ since the sirloin cap was so good, we mostly ordered that again, and the doneness and fat ratio were just right — exactly the flavor you want from a good steak, tender and delicious~

Soy-glazed emperor short rib steak

The soy-glazed short rib steak — short rib split in half and grilled with soy sauce seasoning — was so good, with the rich meaty flavor and fat of the short rib mingling with the sauce and soaking right through~

We ordered the short rib steak alone three separate times, and since it kept coming out freshly grilled each time, it was such a joy to eat~

Unlike churrasco, where you have to wait through rotations of cuts you don't want like sausage or pork belly, here you can eat exactly the cuts you want, one after another — such a fun Songpa all-you-can-eat steak experience~

Chili con carne and unlimited draft beer

Since the tomato stew was so tasty, we figured chili would be in the same vein (not really, but) so we ordered the chili con carne. Loaded with beans and meat, eating it with crispy potato chips made it impossible not to drink beer~ And since the cold draft beer is also unlimited, taking a big bite of chili con carne then a sip of beer was pure harmony~

Finishing with pasta and panna cotta

To finish, we ordered creamy pollock roe pasta and bolognese pasta — the bolognese had a properly rich sauce and perfectly cooked noodles, and after all that steak, it was the kind of flavor that made us overeat for sure~

The creamy pollock roe pasta, with pollock roe popping and bursting amid all that cream, was still delicious even though we were completely stuffed~

And to wrap up, panna cotta with fruit!

Rich milky flavor with a touch of sweetness — even at the point of feeling like we might explode, it wrapped up the meal cleanly and enjoyably~ Ate well, thank you~!!!

Is Sekaro Steak Songpa worth 68,000 won?

I went to Sekaro Steak Songpa Main Branch, a Songpa all-you-can-eat steak restaurant. I really loved that instead of a rotation, you get to pick out exactly the cuts you want, unlimited — and being able to also taste the world buffet dishes from when the owner used to run it under that theme made this an even more well-rounded all-you-can-eat steak spot.

Even though quite a while has passed since opening, staff still ask every single guest how the food tasted and what could be improved, which made me feel like this steak restaurant is only going to get better. With generous portions (it's all-you-can-eat, after all!), a variety of tasty dishes, and a great interior atmosphere, it's a steak restaurant that holds its own for both dates and family gatherings — visit and you'll be very satisfied~!
